Title: Jesse 'The President' Ventura? Former Governor Says He Could Run -- And Win -- In 2012

WASHINGTON — Minnesotans are pretty sure that their current governor, Tim Pawlenty, is going to run for president — but he might have company in the race from another former governor.

Former Gov. Jesse Ventura told the New Yorker that he'd like New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg to run for president. If Bloomberg doesn't want to go, but would be willing to help finance his campaign, Ventura said he'd be willing to run. What's more, Ventura said if he ran he'd win.

From the New Yorker:

“He would probably get my support,” the former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura said of Bloomberg, or “Blomberg,” as he pronounced it, explaining that he refuses to vote for either Democrats or Republicans, on principle. Ventura then brought up the recent losses of “Linda McMahon and that lady in California,” Meg Whitman, who spent roughly fifty million dollars and a hundred and sixty million dollars, respectively, as a way of suggesting that wealth is not enough. (This has surely been a concern, at times, of Perot and even of Silvio Berlusconi, two of Bloomberg’s weekend neighbors, who, with the Mayor, make up a kind of Bermuda Triangle of rich politicos.)

“If Bloomberg could finance me for the Presidency, I would win it,” Ventura said. “So, if he doesn’t want it, he could hire me to do it for him."

He apparently thinks the entire country is as dumb as Minnesota voters....

And he may be right, given recent history.

Let me refresh your memory.

Bush,Clinton,Clinton,Bush,Bush,Obama.

I rest my case.

Sorry petey, unlike some on the internet, I don't think the American People are stupid.

Nor do I think any POTUS that gets two terms was a 'failure'.

Some on the internet like to make these claims routinely. To me, its just the poster compensating for their own failures in the real world.

I know. You even believe Boy Jorge was a good president, and that the Easter Bunny really does leave eggs lying around for children to find.

I think he did a pretty damn good job in some areas. I think his domestic policies like deficit spending was insane, as I noted at the time. I was also against the TARP and other types of bailouts he began, and Owe-bama expanded dramatically.

And all of it is in various databases/political forums under 'Badeye'.

Then you agree with me that Barry Soetoro is Bush 4.0?

I'll guess you mean Owe-bama.

No, I don't agree. The differences are stark, and very obvious. Bush did not lessen our security, Owe-bama has. Bush didn't spend more money in 6 months than every President from Washington thru Reagan, Owe-bama has. Bush didn't use race as justification for insane pronouncements when off script, Owe-bama has, and still does.

Bush didn't apologize for this nation's very existence day after day after day, Owe-bama has, and will continue to do so.

Bush didn't advocate the single biggest Federal Power grab in our nation's history related to healthcare, the automotive industry, and the banks - my problem with Bush/TARP excepted. Owe-bama has, and continues to do so.

Bush never declared WAR on a news outlet he didn't like. Owe-bama has, and continues to do so. Bush never authorized sexual assault by TSA at every airport, Owe-bama has, and will continue to do so.

Bush refuses to comment on those that follow after him as POTUS. You know damn well Owe-bama will be Jimmy Carter in this aspect for the next 30 - 40 years after he's fired in 2012.

The list could go on...but you get the point.

Thanks. I had another dozen examples, but figured it was overkill.

The assertion that Owe-bama is nothing but a Bush clone is so ridiculous it simply wasn't worth writing more.

We all had problems with specific policies and decisions Bush made.

But nobody ever questioned if he loved his country.

Nobody honest can say that hasn't been a question with the current POTUS, and his shrewish wife.

The SOB worked hard at destroying this country to further the globalist goals of that sorry bastard he calls "Poppy".

Maybe YOU think pushing globalism is proving you love America, but I don't.

Well, there are a lot of conspiracy kooks, its true.

Waht always amazes me about this sort of claim is it comes from poster who in the next breath assert Bush is a imbecile.

Yet, this theory requires intelligence to pull off.

No different than the 9/11 truthers rants. Bush is a total idiot, but pulled off the crime of the century.

I just laugh, shake my head, and let it go. Simply not woth addressing further.

Oh,BullBush! All it requires is a puppet that can parrot lines fed to him.

Look at Goober Gore or Joe Biden for examples.

All are idiots, but have advisers telling them what to do or say.
