P.G. executive taken into custody
Prince Georges County Executive Jack Johnson and his wife have been taken into custody by federal agents, sources tell The Washington Examiner.
Earlier this year, the state reportedly began investigating allegations that Johnson elicited bribes and favors while considering a $1 million lease for the county Department of Housing complex in New Carrollton.
Johnson had served as the county governments chief since 2002. His term ends in January, and he will be replaced by Rushern Baker.
