After a two year hiatus, George Bush is finally speaking up. Among other things, Bush said that Sarah Palin isn't qualified to be President. He criticized John McCain for putting her on the ticket in 2008, stating that McCain is much less of a man for doing so. Let's do a little compare and contrast: George Bush was born in Connecticut with a silver foot in his mouth. His daddy handed him everything, including a prep school education and admission into Yale. He was draft dodger and a drunk. After he became President, he ruined the GOP and the country with his big spending, big deficit programs, along with an ill-premised war against a country (Iraq) that didn't attack us and posed little threat to us. Sarah Palin was born in Sandpoint Idaho (a very beautiful, but really out of the way place). Her dad was a school teacher and her mom was a secretary. Palin attended the University of Idaho. She worked as a sportscaster (like Reagan). In Alaska, she worked her way up from City Councilman, to Mayor, to Governor. Over the last year, Palin has been one of the two most influential politicians (along with Jim DeMint) in rehabilitating the GOP after the Bush nightmare. Pappy Bush looked down on Reagan just like Junior Bush looks down on Palin. But who actually ruined the GOP and the country? The Bush family. The sad fact is that the Bush family have become a low budget version of the Kennedy's to the GOP faithful. I don't understand it. I certainly don't agree with it. And it has to end.

She attended four colleges before graduating in six years (two of them twice) before getting a degree in Journalism from the University of Idaho.
Terrible that she was unable to attend Yale, Harvard or an Ivy League school, isn't it?
So what? Maybe she had to work. Or maybe she didn't know what she wanted to do. I attended a community college before I went into the Air Force. In the Air Force I took classes from many colleges through the "community college of the Air Force" program. After I got out of the Air Force, I worked my way through college and earned my Computer Science degree. The point is that she is not someone like Bush, Obama, Clinton and many of the rest who were handed an Ivy League education. Palin has a blue collar background like I do (and Reagan did). She had worked hard for everything that she has, just like I have. I respect her much more than all of these Ivy League SOBs combined. This country is supposed to be about the people, not the east coast Ivy League elitists.
Possibly, but I don't see a degree in broadcast journalism from the university of Iowa after stumbling through four schools in six years as being as big an achievement as a degree from Yale, Harvard, Brown, Penn, etc. Why is that a good thing? Shouldn't we encourage folks to strive for the best? Joe Miller has a law degree from Yale, does that mean he wouldn't make as good a senator as Scott McAdams who has a Bachelor's from Sheldon Jackson College and worked as head of security at the same college before running a school district and also serving a small-town Alaska Mayor? So has the guy who mows my neighbor's lawn each week - is he qualified to be President? Are you really arguing that one who gets into Harvard or Yale and graduates didn't work hard for that achievement? So academic achievement in life isn't important? Do you tell your kids to strive for community college and any old degree, or do you want them to go to Stamford or Cal-Tech? Aren't all these country-club Republicans who send their kids to private schools hypocrites if education doesn't really matter for anything anymore?
That's because you are a leftist elitist,and only think the Royalty that went to the "right" northeastern schools are fit to rule. And the joke is NOBODY with a pulse ever flunks out of Yale,Harvard,Princeton,or Brown. Even Kennedy's and Soetoro's graduate there without ever doing any actual schoolwork.

I have a problem with anybody who thinks they are qualified merely because they went to a northeastern Ivy League school. You are fond of saying how stupid Boy Jorge is,is it really necessary for me to remind you where he went to school?

Fair enough I think Bush made a lot of very dumb decisions. That still doesn't mean that attending places like Harvard and Yale aren't a significant accomplishment. What I disagree with are those who say that folks who went to those schools and graduated didn't have to work for their achievements.
Obama didn't. He's off-white. None of the Kennedy's did. They are Kennedy's. Boy Jorge didn't. He is a Bush. Name ANYBODY that went to either Yale or Harvard that flunked out. Fat Teddy Kennedy doesn't count. Although he was as dumb as a turnip,he didn't flunk out. He was kicked out because he was caught cheating. After being booted out of Harvard for cheating he lost his student deferment and was drafted into the Army where he served two years as a Military Policeman in Germany. Evidentially he didn't impress the army very much either because he was only a PFC when he was discharged.
