DENVER -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has offered a last-minute endorsement to former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo in the Colorado governor's race. Palin urged voters Monday to support Tancredo - who is running on the American Constitution Party ticket - saying he will fight for lower taxes and smaller government, and start growing the economy.
Colorado GOP gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes, a tea party favorite, says Palin is increasingly becoming part of the establishment. He says Palin waited until the day before the election to improve her odds of picking a winner.
Tancredo and Maes are running against Democrat John Hickenlooper, Denver's mayor, in Tuesday's election.
