You posted your thread in chat which is positive in that if you had posted in the news forum you would already be on the receiving end of nasty threats. Rule 1 is DO NOT post a vanity on your first day. Comment on existing threads; you can make your newbie status known in reply posts.
I chased off a troll earlier today who came after me with snarky comments challenging facts in a thread I started not knowing that all I was doing was reproducing the article. I ended my reply with ZOT. He came back asking what ZOT meant. He soon found out.
So my advice is read the rules, answer posts, put your personal views up in your FR home page. Some home pages are simple, others are elegant and elaborate.
Keep your real identity to yourself; there are nasty, even evil, people out there who, if you are controversial, will try to ferret you out and expose you. Remember this is a public conservative forum which has prominent national officials as members or who lurk here. Two of the most recent are radio show hosts Mark Levin and Tony Snow, now presidential press secretary. So we play for keeps around here and of necessity protect the forum and ourselves.

Freerepublic ? hahahaha. , Freerepublic isn't so free when it comes to freedom of speach. This is not a conservative forum but a dictorial neo-con forum. I wonder how many conservatives have actualy been banned from this site ? I was even kicked off when Freerepublic purged it's membership of those who's illegal alien immigration views differed from the neo-con policies of open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.
I have donated every quarter for the last several years.
Unfortunately, with the widespread banning of too many long-standing FReepers over the last few months, simply because they would not support the current administrations' pandering to the illegal alien invasion, this time around I am not contributing to this forums' finances this time around.

"Whine"? "Come up with something different"? I state my perspective calmly and clearly, and you immediately throw a tantrum and attempt to insult me? Sad to say, I expected as much. If you had taken a moment to think, you would realize your self-righteous rant only reinforces my previous statements. None are so defensive as those who know in their hearts that they are guilty.
FreeRepublic does do a great deal of good, and I continue to participate in the hope it will do some good as well. But this time I'm keeping my money as a small protest to what has been done to friends of mine. That is all.
You've got rocks in your head if you think that your churlish outburst is going to change my mind. And let me say that, up to now, my opinion of you has been largely positive. In the face of such a childish and impetuous response, it appears I will have to revise my opinion. A shame, really.

You are. Go back and re-read your posts. Are you always this indignant and insulting the second someone's not kissing your butt? You need to grow up.
Over the last several years, I've expended much time, effort and treasure to put the current administration into office, and indeed they have done much good. But they have also not done well in many areas. I don't have to list them here. I've been withholding my donations to the RNC and state GOP as a result.
Likewise, FR.

The outta control ModSquad over there is killing that which made TOS special...and it's gotta hurt the site's finances as well...MUD
I should have departed on my own accord rather than getting banned 2+ years ago. That's old news and I rarely visit TOS unless I'm inclined to follow a link over to there. I didn't follow the link posted here.
