The left continues to lie to the American public with their unfounded claims that Obama has created more jobs in 20 months that Bush did in 8 years. As I have pointed out, the numbers don’t lie. Recently, Nancy Pelosi, and a host of other lying Democrats, made this claim. All one has to do is look at the Bureau of Labor Statistics to verify the numbers. If you take the total number of private sector jobs created in January of 2009, when Obama took office, you see the number is 110,961,000. Then if you look at the numbers from September of 2010, you will see the number 107,970,000. That is a loss 2,991,000 jobs in 20 months. Add the 3.5 million jobs Obama promised to create and we have 6,491,000 job deficit. Oh well. Looks like someone is openly lying about that claim that Obama created more jobs in 2010 than Bush did in eight years. The numbers don’t lie. Democrats do. I’m still waiting for an explanation on how you create jobs while the unemployment rate jumped from 4.6% in 2007 to 9.6% in 2010.

It seems strange you would ask how Obama created jobs between 2007-2008. Wouldn't it make your point more accurately to only use the time his policies were in place? Or does that more sensible time frame actually show a drop in unemployment? Given that any new president's jobs plan would take 6-12 months to execute and show results, let's look at the unemployment in 2009 (which showed the worst job losses due to a recession caused by deregulation of financial markets from 2001-2008) to current day: http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet * This is despite the fact that Obama achieved this during the worst recession in 80 years, while Bush created his smaller amount during a much better economy overall. I think you're confusing Bush's TARP with Obama's stimulus/recovery act. One bailed out Wallstreet with little or no regulation of funding and largely went into corporate bonuses for the executives that created the financial collapse. The other saved/created millions of jobs through rescuing US automakers, new infrastructure projects, and tax cuts for working Americans (which in desperate times, almost entirely goes straight back into the economy on goods and services, thereby creating MORE jobs.). Sorry if you were hoping for lowered taxes on big business, but we tried that for 8 of the last 10 years, and look where that lead. Also, what "DNC vote buy programs" are you referring to? I've been voting Democratic for years, I'd love to know where to pick up my check. ;)

How so? Unless the unemployment rate dropped to ZERO, there would always be the possibility of a laid off worker needing more than 99 weeks to find work. When you go from 13.9 million unemployed to 13.6 million, that progress doesn't mean there aren't still 2-4 million who can't find jobs and are about to become impoverished, meaning they will no longer spend money on goods and services that are need to revive our still weak economy. Unless you can show how creating 863,000 jobs means 13 million unemployed (or even the 2 million 99ers) can all magically become employed, your statement has no validity.
More PRIVATE sector jobs have been created this year than in the entire 8 years of George W Bush's presidency. That is a fact. For some reason you keep complaining about the loss of government jobs. As seen in the 1st graph, Bush's recession hit it's peak unemployment in Oct 2009, with 9.4% of those age 20 & over unemployed. As the measures implemented in the recovery act began to show results and slow this damage, the climbing rate reversed course and hit a low of 8.8 in July 2010. Many economists state that the current climb back to 9.2% in November was due in part to the now diminishing effects of the recovery act, which would have been larger and lasted longer if not for concessions made to appease republicans.
There has been a total of 863,000 private sector jobs created in 2010, exceeding the ~800K created under the entire Bush/Cheney period.
