President Barack Obama was in Massachusetts today helping out Governor Deval Patrick’s reelection effort. Speaking at a campaign rally earlier today, however, he was met with a bit of a road bump– hecklers who objected to the amount of AIDS research funding his administration has so far provided. To which an angry President Obama retorted: “look at what the Republican leadership has to say about AIDS funding.” The President appeared uncharacteristically upset as, mid-sentence, a group of folks in the crowd began to loudly object to his speech as he described the work his administration had done for AIDS research. As the crowd turned their heads up to look at the hecklers, President Obama followed as well, and modified his speech for them, menacingly pointing his finger up at them as he warned that a Republican leadership would be extremely destructive to their cause. After raising his voice mid-sentence in response to them, President Obama continued: “One of the great things about being a Democrat is, we like arguing with each other. But to the folks concerned about AIDS funding, I would say ‘take a look at what the Republican leadership has to say about AIDS funding.’” With the vocal discontent coming from the American right, it’s sometimes easy to forget that, for a large part of Progressive America– Boston being one of the flagship cities of the progressive movement– the Obama administration has turned out to be disappointingly conservative. This, coupled with the stress of the midterms, the falling poll numbers, and the added pressure of the very loud Tea Party movement seems to have gotten ahold of the President for at least a sentence or two today. Republicans, Obama said, are relying on a strategy that capitalizes on voter anxiety. "The worst thing we can do is go back to a philosophy that nearly destroyed our economy, he said, referring to the Bush years and the onset of the recession in 2008. Patrick is in a close contest against Republican Charles Baker and independent Timothy Cahill, a former Democrat. On Sunday, Obama is bound for Cleveland, Ohio and followed by a rally at Ohio State University in Columbus designed to drum up enthusiasm for Democratic Gov. Ted Strickland and Lee Fisher, the Democratic Senate candidate.

These photo's are untouched, those are his lips.... Lot of speculation going around about what causes his black/purple/blue lips, majority of what I've read say ..drugs, the pipe, crack, heroin...who knows, but I believe like any other employee, he should be drug tested....I bet he'd fail! jmo!
I don't think it has anything to do with drugs. Seems like some blacks just have purple lips. I have no idea why. They are usually a LOT darker than this half-breed,though.
Pete, I know better, some blacks do have very dark lips, but the majority do not. I have been to 4 family reunions with my g-son and his other g-mothers family (I was the only cotton ball among them), and not a one out of maybe 40 I saw, had lips that black/blue, or purple, but I can only speak for myself. That mans lips changes colors, light at times, darker at others, and I believe it does have something to do with drugs. jmho!
That seems noticeable in the photos you posted of him giving the speech. Maybe it was the lighting,but his lips seemed a lot darker in the bottom photo. and I believe it does have something to do with drugs. jmho! Could be,or it could just be blood pressure problems. Or some other unknown physical problem/ailment. Has he ever released the results of his physical?

You could be right, it just might be bp, something to do with his health. And I'm sure he will release the results of his physical, just as he's been as transparent about everything else in his life...sarc/
