Democrats will just about say anything nowadays. You have to wonder, after reading the article below, exactly who is Debbie think she’s fooling. Who is the audience? Is the audience people without an internet connection? People who cannot do a quick search and find her statements false? Have I answered my own question? Is her liberal base in Floriduh comprised of individuals who take what she says as scripture? Watching the democrats flounder like this in the runup to the November elections is like watching a dog die. Its terrible….almost sad.

According to Florida congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, President Obama is on pace to create more jobs in 2010 than President Bush did in his eight years of office.

“On the pace that we’re on with job creation in the last four months — if we continue on that pace — all the leading economists say it is likely that we will — we will have created more jobs in this year than in the entire Bush Presidency,” Wasserman Schultz, a Democrat from Weston, said on FOX News.

Let’s look at the Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

During the Bush presidency, net total employment went up by 1.08 million jobs. So far, during the Obama presidency, total employment has been reduced by 3.3 million jobs.

Under Bush, private employment shrank by 673,000 jobs, federal employment grew by 50,000 jobs, and government employment grew by 1,753,000 jobs.

Under Obama, the private sector has shed some 2.9 million jobs while the federal government has grown by 40,000 (after growing massively, the federal workforce shrank throughout the summer). Total government jobs, however, shrank by 357,000 jobs, mainly because of cuts at the state and local levels.

’d call this nut, busted. Strike three! Next!

Let me tell ya. If the above had even the slightest hint of truth to it, don’t you think the White House would be posting it in neon with a 60 piece brass band in this hour of need? Wouldn’t Gibbs be calling press conferences to shout their successes in this area until he was blue in the face? Nah. It took a Florida Congresswoman to find this tidbit of BS, and an army of leading economists who are an apparent mystery. Give us names Congresswoman. (1 image)

I enjoyed reading the comments, especially this one;

Eight years of Bush presidency: 673k private jobs lost, 1753k gov't jobs gained

Meanwhile, last month we lost 159,000 government jobs and gained 64,000 private sector jobs. So what exactly is your complaint again?

Reality check - Government spending is down, the deficit is down, government employment is down, and private hiring is up.

Bush vs. Obama on job creation

Complete bullshit.

Government doesn't "create" ANYTHING.

As to unemployment rates, perhaps you could look at the following graph, where the reality is in blue... (not the red line, indicating the government propaganda bullshit that you happily tout):

Bottom line? Obama sucks. But then again, so did Bush.

What's your POINT, you pathetic sheep?

Getting tired of the bozoed calcon following me around on the 'net, wanting to discuss "tossing salad." Sorry, you sick rump-ranger. NOT interested.

I think that's what it boils down to. If McCain won and turned in the economic performance Obama has, folks like NGT would be cheering from the rafters.

Oh well, as of November 6th this the GOP's baby, so any further economic bad news past that date falls squarely on their shoulders, right?

Thats utter horseshit, and you know it, GO65.

I can understand a idiot like skippy 'going there'...but really disappointed to see you doing this.

Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.

Just trying to play by your rules Badeye. You've argued that Pelois/Ried are responsible for the economy since the Democrats took control in 2007, and many of your buddies have argued that the economic crisis, which started in late 2008, is actually Obama's fault.

Tell you what, I'll give you a break - How about we agree that of the start of the next Congress the GOP is responsible for deficits, unemployment, and economic performance.

Agreed?

These were not Federal employees. We still foot the bill for them.

Uh huh.

So the bottom line, you want more people to work for governments. OK, glad we cleared that up.

Bullshit. You indicated this was about 'race'.

Its not. Its about performance. And thats why Dems are losing the House and Senate in 20 days, and thats why Owe-bama has no pull with voters this year.

Agreed, and as of January 2011 it will be the performance of the Republicans that we judge, agreed? If deficits grow, if the Congress can't pass a budget, if the Congress can't pass bills to address unemployment, deficits and the structural debt, then it's the Republicans fault. Agreed?

Local government job losses are a far cry different than Federal job losses. Such jobs are a part of the communities and affect local commerce. They are also far more likely to be essential services than bullshit bureacratic crap being generated by Federal employees.

Childish, but expected.

Congress can't do a thing without Owe-bama signing off on it, as you know.

The question is this: Will Owe-bama pivot politically, as Clinton did, and thereby give himself a chance at reelection?

Or will he continue down 'Ideology Lane' which is costing his party control of the Congress in 20 days?

Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.

Of course it can. Look at any city full of darkies wanting handouts and run by lefties.

But in general, local governments are much more accountable to its constituents.
