(CNN) - Nevada GOP Senate nominee Sharron Angle told a crowd of Tea Party rally-goers last week that two cities — Dearborn, Michigan and Frankford, Texas — are under Sharia law, the sacred law of Islam. “We're talking about a militant terrorist situation, which I believe isn't a widespread thing, but it is enough that we need to address, and we have been addressing it,” Angle said according to audio of the rally obtained by the Washington post. “My thoughts are these. First of all, Dearborn, Michigan, and Frankford, Texas, are on American soil, and under Constitutional law. Not Sharia law. And I don't know how that happened in the United States.” The problem? Well, Frankford, Texas doesn’t really exist. CNN went to Texas to investigate, check out the video after the jump: Dallas annexed the city in 1975 and all that remains is a church and cemetery, as a camera crew for CNN’s John King USA found out when they visited on Friday. Dearborn Mayor Jack O’Reilly told the Associated Press that Angle’s comments were “shameful” and “totally irresponsible.” Angle’s campaign did not respond to CNN’s request for a comment.

Wrong again: There are 60 churches and 7 mosques in Dearborn, is this sort of arrangement consistent with the imposition of Sharia?

Dearborn, Michigan, is home to a substantial Muslim population, and there is strong evidence that local authorities now enforce sharia in preference to the Constitution of the United States. Thus this Associated Press story about the arrest of four Christian missionaries that took place on Friday: Police in the heavily Arab Detroit suburb of Dearborn say they arrested four Christian missionaries for disorderly conduct at an Arab cultural festival. Police Chief Ron Haddad says his department made the arrests Friday. The four are free on bond. Here is video of the arrest. The "disorderly conduct" consisted of handing out copies of the Gospel of John outside the festival. Note the police demand that one of the group stop filming the arrest: Many people seem to believe that concerns about creeping sharia are exaggerated or misplaced.
