Title: Yes, President Bush, America does miss you

From England's The Telegraph:

Several months ago a huge billboard appeared near Wyoming, Minnesota, with a beaming photo of George W. Bush with the caption “Miss me yet?” The answer to that question is clearly yes, according to a new CNN/Opinion Research poll, which shows the former president staging a remarkable political recovery despite having largely disappeared from public life since leaving office:

By 47 to 45 percent, Americans say Obama is a better president than George W. Bush. But that two point margin is down from a 23 point advantage one year ago.

“Democrats may want to think twice about bringing up former President George W. Bush’s name while campaigning this year,” says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

This has to be one of the most extraordinary political comebacks in decades. And as this week’s Washington Post/ABC News poll showed, nearly 25 percent of Democrats now believe “a return to Bush’s policies would be good,” a staggeringly high figure

This country is on the skids because of idiots like Smirk and Snarl, who cared more about making war than keeping visitors and workers in the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon safe and secure.

9-11 was an inside job.

I'm blacky amused at how it took the Supreme Court's removal of sound campaign financing law to give the GOPer's new life this election cycle.

We have 'the Concerned Taxpayers of America' spending six figure sums to get a scientist who believes radiation is good for you and promotes a racist 19th century author in his marketted material to home school kids in the ball park to try to defeat Congressman Pete DeFasio here in the 4th District in Oregon; something happening all over the country. For all we know this shell organization that is made up of people not revealing their names could be representatives of foriegn corporations.

The evil that gave us these two loathsome criminals is working overtime to make sure that the American People do not retake ownership of their government and country.

The war to save the Constitution goes on as intense and bloody as it ever was, an dthe last thing we need is this pitiful propaganda crap lionizing these two morons who should be in prison if they are anywhere.

Mike.....I was thinking you actually liked barack and joe.

As for the second part of the sentence buddy....relax.....the return to ANY semblance of adulthood in upper gov't (hell...even a gov't run by a team of lindsay grahamnesty and olympia snowe........ is quantum improvement over the twin tools of regressive socialism now at the wheel) will only hurt you for a decade or so.

And.....you-all have good weed up there right?....one decade plus 10 years of weed = comfortably numb ferrets. You'll be fine.....relax like noted before.....we'll take the wheel for a while.

You just sit back with george soros et al and laugh as best you can with us at the tidal wave bearing down on the regressive ideologue-D party.

This is what you'll get for running the normal reasonable democrats right out to the back closet in favor of the bernadine dwwwwhhhhooooohrn mindset. apparatchik.

Don't smoke anything, I'm a member of the Pacific Green Party, and Barack and Joe exist to the right of me politically.

This was true of me ten, twenty, thirty, even forty years ago when I was sixteen and on the high school track team and weed went for 20 dollars a lid and I didn't smoke then either.

My political make-up has been remarkably consistent my entire life, and you are going to have to do better than to suggest my political efficacy and belief system is drug eroded over the years.

I am not a Democrat, and I generally like conservatives enough as people whom I like to debate or engage in lively discussion on politics and current news and issues.

But I have never and will never have much overall in common with conservative thinking. Cannabis is a pretty plant, but I just don't have the time, patience or personality to have a long term relationship with it.

Stop obsessing on it, it doesn't help you think through political issues or ideology well at all.

Actually I mentioned your weed one time.

You mentioned in 5 of your 6 sentences. ...and noted the above which seems odd you'd comment on it's effects on thought processes.

Hmmmmm.....obsessing......hmmmmmmm.

Anyway Mike...guess you missed the friendly jibe re: the the barack / joe tie in to who you "hate"

And so....... in one post you hate "The evil that gave us these two loathsome criminals blah blah..." and in this thread you " generally like conservatives enough as people whom I like to debate or engage in lively discussion on politics and current news and issues."

I see.

I don't consider Bush and Cheney, or any neocon for that matter to be conservatives. Neocons have their agenda, and they will blow up office buildings in NYC killing thousands of people to get their way.

Conservatives generally know the synergy of debate well and I enjoy engaging them.

As far as weed goes, I have too many friends obsessing about it and an sick and tired of having to vacate an area to get away from smoke. Cigs I just loathe period. Cannabis I do not want back in my life, so I stay away from it's active consumption.

And I've had friends who gave me 'pot butter' creations not cluing me in who were totally irritated and bewildered when I eviscerated them for doing that.

And you see how I can be in forum. Times ten that to the hundredth power, and you get an idea how intense I can be in person. And I'm still alive and have all my teeth (OK, some scars on my knuckles), so Stone likes to portray me as short and middle aged. Which I am, but not many twenty somethings can keep up with me on bike rides.

Good post, I deserve criticism from time to time like any human being and you do it well here.

It's actually enjoyed and appreciated. Just don't make it a habit. <./tease>
