It was also announced that three-time Grammy winner John Legend will sing "God Bless America" during the Midsummer Classic's seventh-inning stretch. O.A.R. will perform a two-song set on the field between Sunday's Futures Game and the Celebrity All-Star Softball Game. The quintet has sold more than a million albums since coming onto the scene eight years ago with their unique, reggae-meets-rock sound. On Monday night, the Grammy-nominated duo of Big Kenny and John Rich will perform two songs directly before the Home Run Derby. The multi-platinum pair's hit, "Comin' to Your City," was used last season as the theme music on ESPN's "College Gameday." ESPN's All-Star coverage will include parts of the pair of performances. Legend, who will be performing on All-Star Tuesday, was an instant sensation with his debut album, "Get Lifted." The soul/hip hop artist was the 2006 Grammy winner for Best New Artist, Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Album.
PITTSBURGH -- A little bit of country and a little bit of rock and roll will be coming to the Steel City for All-Star Week. The bands Big and Rich, famous for their breakthrough "Comin' to Your City" album, and O.A.R. will perform at All-Star events at PNC Park on Sunday, July 9, and Monday, July 10, Major League Baseball announced on Thursday.
