Yeah, the GOP's spending cuts are vague, but so is Obama's plans to cut Medicare by $550 billion over the next 10 years. Add that spending back in and Obama's deficits get even worse than they are now.
It looks like the first thing the Congress will kill next year is the part of the Obama health care plan that set up a commission to look at ways to control costs. Remember that John Boehner is on record as saying that the GOP will fight any attempt to cut medicare.
Of course. Have you ever been to a Tea Party rally? About half of the people are senior citizens who don't want their socialized medicine cut. In addition to the $550 billion of Medicare that will not be cut, there is also the "doctor fix" to Medicaid, which will cost another $250 billion over the next 10 years. The Democrats knew they had to do this, but they kept it out of the healthcare "reform" bill so they could claim the bill was deficit neutral. They should be locked up for fraud. So, $550 billion + $250 billion = another $800 billion dollars added to the debt over the current faulty projections.
