New polling in California moved the state's senate race from Toss-Up to Leans Democratic in the Rasmussen Reports Senate Balance of Power ranking. Earlier today, Alaska moved to Soild Republican from Leans Republican. Current projections suggest that the Democrats would hold 51 seats after Election Day while the Republicans would hold 45. Four states are in the Toss-Up category (Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, and Wisconsin). All four Toss-Ups are seats currently held by Democrats. Republicans have the edge in four Democratic-held Senate seats--Arkansas, Indiana, North Dakota, and Pennsylvania. At the moment, no Republican-held seats appear headed for the Democratic column. The state results and overall projections will be updated whenever new polling data justifies a change (to learn how Rasmussen Reports determines its Balance of Power rankings, click here).

Most of those 'tied' in polls come election day will break for the GOP.

I heard that before the NY-23 primary a while back too.
?????? NY23 had a leftist GOP candidate against a last minute conservative third party candidate. How does this relate at all to the election in November?
I'll say it one more time -- the GOP has to pick up both California and Washington if they hope to take control of the Senate. Carly Fiorina can win in California. At this point, I'll bet that she does win. However, the GOP's Senate candidate in Washington is a two time state-wide loser. Patty Murray is running all kinds of attack ads against Dino Rossi and he is barely responding. Even the local conservative radio stations have been chastising his lame campaign. Patty Murray is the least intellectually capable member of the Senate. We are doomed to have her represent us for another 6 years. As a result, the GOP will not take control of the Senate.
Unless they can accomplish it with Arlen Specter clones like Castle and Murkowski, the GOP isn't interested in taking control of the Senate.

I've never seen anyone so excited about the prospects of returning to a DJIA in the 7000's, and putting John Boehner and Mitch McConnell, who both voted for TARP and Medicare Part D, into leadership positions in Congress.
As if that was the worst of it.

I've noted many times my disdain for McConnell, while I'm used to Owe-bama lying, this is something new with you I hope you stop. And the DJIA is going to go below 7000 no matter who wins in November. Two years of liberal social theory supplanting basic math and general accounting practices make the drop inevitable, which is why I pulled out of the stock market a couple of weeks ago. As for 'I've never seen'...well, I've seen you blindly back party over country for so many years now its no longer surprising, just pathetic.

Mitch McConnell will become Senate Majority Leader if the GOP takes control of the Senate, a fact you seem to wish to ignore. So the bottom line of the "tea party revolution" is that victory means putting guys who voted for TARP and Medicare Part D in charge of the Congress.
