United States News Title: The Kenyan White House Resident and The Democrats Are The Real Culprits In the Budget Mess -- Not George Bush or the Tea Party I heard President Obama whining about the Tea Party yesterday on the radio while we were driving across the Nevada desert. He was in a Town hall meeting broadcast on CNBC, he wanted some specifics from the Tea Party, but here is the whining that got my blood pressure up. The problem that Ive seen in the debate thats been taking place and in some of these Tea Party events is, I think theyre misidentifying sort of who the culprits are here, said Obama. As I said before, we had to take some emergency steps last year. But the majority of economists will tell you that the emergency steps we take are not the problem long-term. Just more whining that he inherited a deficit mess from George Bush. So below is a short civics lesson for the President and our local left leaning middle of the road blogger who posted more on the whining this morning here. Please read the left wing coments that will demonstrate they need this civics lesson as much as Obama. Now to the lesson. Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as well as FY 2010 and FY 2011. In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009, though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets. And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period: If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. What Obama refused to accept is that he inherited a deficit that he voted for and then he voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th. This is his deficit, not George Bush's. Is that specific enough? It is time to stop whining Mr President, you are the culprit not the Tea Party. The Tea Parties are seeking solution to deficit spending. Are there hard choices to be made? Yes there are, but it is clear that you are unable, or unwilling, to stop paying off your political croneys with stimulus money.
