The fact is that the FDA does more harm than good because it drives up the costs of bringing life saving medicines to market and it also prohibits life saving medicines from entering the market that are on the market in Europe and Japan. The Europeans and Japanese DO NOT die more frequently from bad drugs than Americans. We waste time and money for no reason. The U.S. has the most screwed up government in the entire developed world. Which is why I asked after someone said there was no reason for the FDA. There absolutely was. The only reason we are living in the past in re: to food safety is because of the FDA. Furthermore with tainted food from Mexico and China, that need still exists. Visiting the world isn't an education it's a holiday.
