BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky Senate hopeful Rand Paul has chided fellow Republican politicians for contributing to the nation's budget deficit in a speech to tea party activists in his hometown. Paul told the gathering in Bowling Green on Sunday evening that Republicans "have taken the easy way out" in the past by failing to back up tax cuts with corresponding spending reductions. Paul said that Republicans squandered their congressional majorities in the past two decades, and said they doubled the national debt. He also took aim at Democrats, accusing them of even greater blame for rising deficits. The Bowling Green eye doctor is a first-time candidate who defeated an establishment Republican in winning the GOP Senate nomination in the spring. He is running against Democratic Attorney General Jack Conway in the general election.

I agree with Rand Paul. I hope he runs for President. At this point he seems like a good honorable man.
Does Paul not realize that everything was moving along smoothly until January of 2009?
Maybe you could expand on that... What exactly do you mean, about "moving along smoothly?"
The current members of the "You're a worthless sack of shit" list includes WAR, calcon, e_type_jack-off, mad-dog (more like rabidly stupid), ibluafartsky and the fascism-shill no gnu taxes (aka 400 bucks, happyfunball, 50yardline, etc, etc.) If you're on the list, don't bother writing, 'cause you're a waste of flesh.
We didn't have a deficit, there was no recession, and so on. All of that started on January 20th, 2009.
If we didn't have a "deficit," then how do you explain the $100T in unfunded liabilities we already had outstanding, as of 2008? As to not having a recession, perhaps you could explain the following graph from Shadowstats to me? (Or, if you won't explain it, then maybe you can refute it?) BTW, government propaganda is in red, reality is in blue...
