This is why America is destined to blow apart at the seams. The sooner the better, IMHO.

How stupid have you become?

Ask a serious question. IF it's possible.

The question was rhetorical smartie pants. You can't justify our behavior by saying Saudi's do the same thing, unless you want to be like Saudi Arabia.

That said these rednecks have the right to burn the koran.

The proper way for the military and the State Department to deal with this, was to downplay it. Some backwater hick preacher is just some hick preacher. He doesn't represent the USA.

Obama and Sec Gates should just say, "We have extremists just like Afghanistan has extremists, and like Afghanistan they don't speak for us."

Gee, thanks, Jefferson.

Yes. But instead they fanned the flames. Wanna guess why that was so?

c) 0bama has personally referred to and called the Pastor's action a "stunt" (FACT)

IMHO, stunt is accurate.

d) YOU just confirmed the Pastor's own daughter called him "insane."

You claimed Obama called him insane, the President himself and called insane. It was the Obama quote calling Jones insane that I was asking for.

Is it because...he's defending ISLAM??

No.

Were American Christians who refused to condemn marital rape defending a Christian permission (they thought they were) or a cultural attitude?

They've criticized this pastor faaaaar more than Muslim Major Nadal when he gunned down over 40 members of the US Army. Or the new Black Panthers. And where was the criticism of AG Holder when he called white America "cowards"?

Much of what you attribute to Islam is not part of the religion, but a cultural perversion just as the position of women in western culture until recently was not part of Christianity as taught by Jesus but of our culture at the time.

"My God Jimmy. WHO are you shittin'??"

In Islam, Jesus (Arabic: Ÿ3;¡0;ž7; 9; Ÿ3; 4;¡0; 7; 5; 4;ž7; 4;5; 5;46;, Nabi Isa) is considered to be a Messenger of God who was sent to guide the People of Israel (ban+ isr'+l) with a new scripture, the Inj+l or Gospel.[1]

The Qur'an, considered by Muslims to be God's final and authoritative revelation to humankind, mentions Jesus twenty-five times.[2] It states that Jesus was born to Mary (Arabic: Maryam) as the result of virginal conception, a miraculous event which occurred by the decree of God (Arabic: Allah). To aid in his ministry to the Jewish people, Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles, all by the permission of God rather than his own power. According to Islamic texts, Jesus was neither killed nor crucified, but rather he was raised alive up to heaven.[3] The Qur’an states that he will return to Earth near the day of judgment to restore justice and defeat al-Mas+7; ad-Dajjl ("the false messiah", also known as the Antichrist)[4][5] along with Imam Mahdi.

Like all prophets in Islam, Jesus is considered to have been a Muslim, as he preached that his followers should adopt the "straight path" in submission to God's will. Islam rejects the idea that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God, that he was ever crucified or resurrected, or that he ever atoned for the sins of mankind. The Qur'an emphasizes the belief that Jesus himself never claimed any such thing, and it furthermore indicates that Jesus will deny having ever claimed divinity at the Last Judgment, and that Allah will vindicate him.[6] Rather, the Qur'an emphasizes that Jesus was a mortal man who, like other prophets, had been divinely chosen to spread God's message. Islamic texts forbid the association of partners with God (shirk), emphasizing the notion of God's divine oneness (tawh+d).

Numerous titles are given to Jesus in the Qur'an, such as al-Mas+7; ("the messiah; the anointed one" i.e. by means of blessings), although this particular term does not correspond with the meaning given to it by Christians or Jews. Jesus is seen in Islam as a precursor to Muhammad, and is believed by Muslims to have foretold the latter's coming.[5][7]

"The proper way for the military and the State Department to deal with this, was to downplay it. Some backwater hick preacher is just some hick preacher. He doesn't represent the USA."

Is that your argument? That's it, that's your defence for your nasty, smug attack on someone you think is your inferior? It depends on where a person lives in this nation that dictates whether he represents the USA?

Who the hell are you to cherry pick who represents the USA? Despite what you think of this man because of his location, he most certainly does represent the USA, just as much as you think you do. Just where in the g-damn hell do think the war and battles for YOUR freedoms were fought and won...fking NY, CA?

Daniel Boone (a backwater hick) lived in a world (that's backwater to you) where white and Native American ways mixed. Though he competed and fought with the Indians for land, furs, and game, Boone always respected them. He also learned from the Indians. He spoke several Indian languages and could follow trails, hunt game, and survive in the forest in the Indian style.

I can't help but wonder what a sniveling, lazy, good for nothing like you, who enjoys the life you do today because of backwater hicks, would think about the Battles of Lexington and Concord. You sit there and take for granted the fruits of their labour, their suffering and sacrifice, yet you actucally believe because of the location you live in makes you their superiors?

The first shots were fired just as the sun was rising at Lexington. The militia, made up of rag-tag backwater hicks were outnumbered and fell back, and the regulars proceeded on to Concord, where they searched for the supplies. At the North Bridge in Concord, approximately 500 backwater hicks fought and defeated three companies of the King's troops. The outnumbered regulars fell back from the backwater hicks after a pitched battle in open territory.

More backwater hicks arrived soon thereafter and inflicted heavy damage on the regulars as they marched back towards Boston

You dare turn up your nose and smear a backwater hick? With the exception of a very few backwater hicks, they are the smartest men and women upon the face of the earth, constantly on guard exposing and stopping infringements upon YOUR rights and liberties. You on the other hand, are more ignorant and uneducated than any backwater hick, because over the generations, these backwater hicks have not been brainwashed like you and your future generations will be, programed to obey without question, to do as you are told, even if you disagree.

If these men and women of the backwaters are so contemptable to you, just what does that make you, what have you ever done in your life that could even match up with what they've achieved?

This nation is in desperate need of those backwater men and women today, but the gene pool is so watered down, I can't help but believe we are doomed! jmho!

"Mike, the crucifix is ILLEGAL to wear in public in Saudi Arabia as is public devotion TO Jesus AND worship OF Jesus Christ."

Saudi Arabia does not have the U.S. Constitution. I'm glad we are not theocratic like Iran and other countries where religion is the backbone of their government.

Christianity has been used similarly to do much the same thing. Catholics in England once were ordered not to practice their faith and were fined or severely sanctioned for not going to services in Protestant Churches.

Christianity has evolved past the point where one would be killed or imprisoned for being a heathen.

I expect that much as been the case with Christianity and nations that used that religion to put a yoke of oppression on people, Iran, Saudi Arabia and others will have a similar learning curve and develop more enlightened policies.

Murron's a plagiarist? I guess she gave it away by putting her name on graphics and quotes by others.

"Our quest for the lesser evil has arrived at an impasse. On one hand we have a world-class Doublethinker who expects us to thank him for keeping promises he has vigorously broken and to accept the cynical notion that war is peace. On the other we have a mob of flesh-eating galoots who promise to give us Orwell’s Hate Week 52 weeks a year for as long as it takes them to bring about Armageddon. " — Jeff Huber

If spandex girl is talking to me, yeah, I got the part about Concord online, all the rest is mine. Daniel Boone is from this area, that's why I know his history.

The historical factual reference can only be cut & pasted for accuracy.

But then they're just sniping because they are...at a loss for any rebuttal. As expected.

So you admit most of it was yours and only a wee bit of plagiarism? Got it.

Btw, do you know how old Aisha was when Muhammad (piss be upon him) "married" this little girl?

Was it 7? Seven was the age of consent in some US states up until the later 1800s.

No, she's just a little bit pregnant...so to say.

I gave credit for the source of my citation. Mammy put verbiage in her cut and paste I had to remove to ferret out the source.

She did not put the stuff in a quotations box in the posting form used to write postings, used no notation such as quotation marks, and included no links.

She wanted to but on the dog and generate a post that would make her seem a much better writer then she is.

This is quite obvious.

Nah, there are well known protocols for citing material. IT is very obvious you wished people to think of your cut and paste as your material.

You are a liar, and a plagiarist.

Since you say you can post freely at 4um you need to bring that up with Bucky. Have at it.

"When will you be apologizing to the posters at this forum, you POS?"

He should. That was uncalled for, and lowered immensely my opinion of Buck.

I've had to Spybot/Adaware/Webroot scan my machine every night I come into these forums as it has lowered my confidence in the integrity of respect for my computers.

I don't like that. You have a very very good point here, thanks.
