As for the Bible burning the Armed Forces did, it was not an act of protest, it is the normal standard operating procedure to dispose of material there is no room to store, and could cause inflamed passions locally that could endanger the health and well being of troops in Afghanistan.

You don't know the motives. You only know what they said the motives were. Regardless it is a constitutional violation for the govt to do it. Zero is derelict at duty

What was it though that the muslims did in Israel. Oh yeah they burned the churches and Josephs birthplace.

If you hate them you would just keep quiet and not say anything. If you love them you would confront their book of lies and evil.

It is God's plan for salvation, not AKA Stone's. If you believe that God is who He says He is in the Bible than you know He is perfectly capable of saving souls without your direction or help.

Paul instructs the wife of the unbeliever to win her husband over not with her words, but with her behavior. Of course its easier to tell someone they're going to hell than it is to consistently reflect God's love.

If you read the Bible you would know that God said not to even look at or consider evil. The Koran fits that category.

"You don't know the motives. You only know what they said the motives were. Regardless it is a constitutional violation for the govt to do it. Zero is derelict at duty"

Actually, I do know. I was in Special Forces that is part of Special Operations Command which deals largely in low intensity conflict and the TM calls for shredding or burning of material that could compromise efforts to win hearts and minds in the commission of successfully achieving the overall mission in a conflict.

There was nothing temperamental or hateful about this disposal. The Bibles were a problem in that it would of given Taliban combatants a potent tool to sustain and deepen the warfare into a wider conflict. If the Taliban had been able to access the Bibles, they would of spread them around to cause problems for us and give themselves a propaganda coup. They wouldn't of burned them.

They want Christians to come spread Bibles around to help them alarm people enough so more support them allowing them to deepen and strengthen their efforts to kill our people and win their war.

It was done to protect servicemen and women there, not to insult any religion.

This falls directly in the lap of something I know well as part of corps I was in as an American Paratrooper.

So those liberals who burnt the flag here in America should be feared?

I wouldn't equate burning a flag with burning a book regarded as holy.

Also, I think the motives are different; flag burners are disappointed lovers while book burners seek to destroy ideas - the only way to ultimately destroy an idea is to destroy the person who holds it.

The last time I was at Fort Lewis and they sounded the music to denote thee lowering of the flag for the day, I a civilian now stopped my car when I saw others serving there doing so, and got out and stood in respect of the flag with my hand over my heart.

People on active duty are to stop, stand at parade rest until the music noting the actual lowering starts, then are to snap to attention and salute.

As far as I know there is no rule forbidding members of the military from having their own personal Bible.

"Then why did they burn them?"

Why do we have so many shredders and burning barrels at embassies and other U.S. facilities all over the world? It would of been a waste of taxpayer dollars to fly these books out of that country, and the chain of custody of potentially dangerous to troops and mission material as short as possible to best insure control and custody of the material is in no way compromised.

As a former soldier that knows the doctrine of handling sensitive material well, I in no way find the means used to remove the Bibles from the scene in Afghanistan the least bit unusual.

I am glad we have Muslims living in the United States, and as long as the U.S. Constitution remains healthy and unmolested, there will always be religious tolerance here as per the First Amendment which uphold religious freedom as well as freedom of speech.

The Constitution is diseased and been sodomized. Oh. It's also now just a G-D piece of paper. You've obviously missed the memo, Mike.

MILLER: It looks like a new plume--a new large plume of smoke.

(The Basement has just been blown out. This corresponds with the pic of that "large plume of smoke' just before the the Top 32 floors fall over, spin and then disintegrate;}

JENNINGS: Well, it may be that something fell off the building. It may be that something has fall--yet we don't know, to be perfectly honest. But that is what you're looking at, the current--that's the scene at this moment at the World Trade Center.

Don Dahler from ABC's "Good Morning America" is down in--in the general vicinity.

Don, can you tell us what has just happened?

DAHLER: Yes, Peter. Don Dahler. I'm four blocks north of the World Trade Center. The second building that was hit by the plane has just completely collapsed. The entire building has just collapsed, as if a demolition team set off--when you see the old demolitions of these old buildings. It folded down on itself, and it's not there any more.

Part of respecting the living, breathing representations of the American People called the U.S. Constitution is respecting the First Amendment's call for freedom of religion.

We need to lead by example if we want to show we care about our own Founding Father's words. We don't need to get down in the dung pit with them and ape what they are doing.

We then just lower ourselves to there level. And you know something, they want us to do that and like to see that happen.

When a "religion" crosses the line and becomes oppressive, threatening, demanding, and intolerant itself, it has violated the social compact with the people.

As I've stated, your moral standing in this regard is BLINDED.

Moreover, the right as per the 1st Amendment to object in the manner in which it is proposed IS "constitutional." ISN'T IT?
