SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Mormon church says it has changed its genealogical database to better prevent the names of Jews killed in Nazi concentration camps from being submitted for posthumous baptism by proxy.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe the baptism gives deceased people in the afterlife the opportunity to receive the Gospel. Church members are baptized in the place of people whose names are drawn from a church-run database.

Jews are offended by the idea that Mormons are trying to alter the religion of Holocaust victims, who were murdered because of their religion.

In 1995, the church agreed to eliminate most Holocaust victims from baptism. But database monitoring found the names were still submitted.

The Mormon church and the American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors said Wednesday the database has been improved.

Petey, what's this all about?

Beats me. I didn't even know it was possible to Baptize dead people.

Jews are offended by the idea that Mormons are trying to alter the religion of Holocaust victims, who were murdered because of their religion.

I can see why Jews,Catholics,Buddhists,or members of any other cult would be upset over this, though.

As for Jews being upset over somebody trying to take away their "special victim status" goes, fuck 'em! There is and was nothing "special" about them other than their ability to whine and bitch.

The whole "they were murdered because of their religion" bullshit is just that, bullshit. The Nazi's also murdered millions of Catholics,Orthodox Christians,Gypsies,Slavs, atheists, agnostics, etc, etc, etc. Were THEY murdered because they were Jewish?

This kind of crap reminds me of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton whining about blacks having welfare cut.

You complete fool.

Are you unaware of the schism in Christianity due to the Vatican?

Gee Hundreds of sects and denominations inside Christianity,

Hundreds...

I point out a fact about Nazi Germany WW-2

and I'm a fool?.....?

Did you know......

CODEX SINAITICUS - THE SINAI BIBLE

This is the oldest known Bible in the World.

NOT ONLY IS THERE NO RESURRECTION STORY IN THE GOSPEL OF MARK IN THE SINAI BIBLE, THOSE VERSES ARE NOT FOUND IN THE ALEXANDRIAN BIBLE, THE VATICAN BIBLE, THE BEZAE BIBLE OR IN AN ANCIENT LATIN MANUSCRIPT OF MARK CODE-NAMED 'K' BY ANALYSTS.

Parrot: Oh oh....

THE RESURRECTION VERSES ARE ALSO ABSENT IN THE OLDEST ARMENIAN VERSION OF THE NEW TESTAMENT AND A NUMBER OF 5TH CENTURY MANUSCRIPTS OF THE ETHIOPIC VERSION.

Parrot:....oh oh..

Tony Bushby - who researched the Sinai Bible in The British Museum, tells us more:

"The Sinaitic version of the first Gospel written, Mark, starts its story of Jesus at the time he was baptized, 'at about the age of thirty', and no reference is made to Mary, a virgin birth, or the now-called Old Testament 'messianic prophecies'.

Words describing Jesus as 'the son of God' do not appear in the opening narrative as they do today. (Note 5) and the family tree tracing a 'messianic bloodline' back to King David is non-existent.

The Sinai Bible carries a conflicting version of events surrounding the 'raising of Lazarus' and reveals an extraordinary omission that later became the central doctrine of Christian faith...the resurrection appearances of Jesus Christ and his subsequent ascension into heaven. ......Well after the time of the Council of Nicaea presbyters confirmed that the resurrection description was absent from Greek copies of the Mark gospel. 'Much has been made of the silence of some of the fourth and fifth century Fathers, their silence being interpreted to mean that they either did not know the passage or rejected it. (Note7) Parrot: without exaggerating,..there are thousands of entry/word differences/omissions/word additions, Between the Sinai Bible and todays.

"How well we know what a profitable superstition this fable of Christ has been for us." Pope Leo X (1513-1521)

Parrot: You may continue to call me fool,.....I'll understand : )
