This thread is to discuss the midterm election that will take place Nov 2, 2010 I think that the Republicans take the house. I think that they will take the Senate or be within 2 seats of Majority. I predict Rand Paul to win. I predict Miller from Alaska to win. I predict Mike Turner to win. Reid will lose. Rubio will win. Pelosi will win.

Here in Seattle is different. They keep recounting the ballots until the Democrat wins. When Rossi ran for governor in 2004, over 2.8 million votes were cast. After the initial vote count, Rossi led Democrat Christine Gregoire by 261 votes. After the second count, Rossi led by 42 votes. After the third count, Gregoire took a 129 vote lead and won. Why did they do three counts instead of 2? Because the Democrat was still losing. Why did they stop at 3 and not do 4? Because the Democrat was winning. They like to lose military ballots prior to the first count. They like to "discover" previously uncounted ballots (in heavily Democratic areas) after the first count. If Rossi and Murray are tied in the polls, Rossi will lose.
maybe the question will come down to how many are buried in Seattle cemetaries.

There was a Congressional election in FL back in the mid90's in which there was obvious fraud on behalf of the dems that i recall making some cynical comments about on MSN. It certainly didn't measure up to stealing a Presidential election tho...

People steal elections because of greed, lust for power - whatever lack of human integrity you care to name. Let's just be religious for a moment and call it sin. (I don't know of a more descriptive term that's ever been coined.) Because I believe that sin exists in ALL human hearts (not just in those who call themselves republicans), it follows that I believe the sin of "stealing elections" is possible in any and every political persuasion. It just so happens - because of the FACT that inner-city political machines are predominantly Democrat and it is easier to perform vote fraud in cities - that we hear more of democrat voter fraud than republican. But do I believe that republicans are incapable of voter fraud? Certainly not! I will say this (and I'm repeating something I said in a recent post): Modern vote fraud goes all the way back at least to "Landslide Lyndon" in 1948 - and through the more familiar JFK/Nixon in '60. If the two political parties were REALLY interested in doing away with vote fraud, it would have already happened. Counting votes ain't rocket science. It's obvious to anyone that it's simply a gentlemen's agreement.

IN RE 1960: Several days after CA certified JFK as the victor it mysteriously awarded its electoral votes to Nixon. Why? Because they expected Nixon to contest IL and TX. He had an operation ready to go in TX that would have rivaled anything LBJ had there. The problem was, he wasn't going to be able to undo IL...so, he looked at challenging lesser states like New Mexico, Alabama and Hawaii...eventually, he dropped it. Another prediction: The GOP will pick up a net 6 or 7 gubernatorial seats. Most notably, the Industrial mid-west will become largely Republican again for the first time in more than 10 years, with the GOP picking up Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Ohio, and maybe Illinois (Indiana already has a GOP governor).
