Politico has released a piece that begins as follows: "Key White House allies are dramatically shifting their attempts to defend health care legislation, abandoning claims that it will reduce costs and deficit, and instead stressing a promise to 'improve it.'" This is a truly remarkable sentence. Legislation that the Congressional Budget Office says would cost about $2.5 trillion in its real first decade (2014 to 2023) wouldn't do the one thing that Americans most want out of health-care legislation: cut health care costs. It wouldn't, despite the administration's repeated claims to the contrary, cut deficits. But, on the bright side, it can (allegedly) be improved. That's an amazingly tepid claim to make on behalf of something with Obamacare's price tag. The truth is that Obamacare cannot be improved. It can only be repealed. It was passed as "comprehensive legislation," and it must be repealed comprehensively. The vast majority of Americans recognize this. Rasmussen's latest survey of likely voters shows Americans favoring repeal by the overwhelming tally of 60 to 36 percent. This 24-point margin is Rasmussen's 2nd-highest in the 21 polls it has conducted in the five months since passage, despite, as Politico puts it, "the White House's all-out communications effort" in the interim – much of it at taxpayer expense.

Because we live under a party system that would almost be the envy of Soviet Russia,and we did this to ourselves because too many of us insist on ALWAYS voting for the "Party Candidate" for a show of solidarity. Even if we wouldn't piss on him or her if they were on fire. And make no mistake about it,this is nobody's fault but our (the collective "our",not necessarily you and I) fault. We have this system if effect now where we have evolved to the point where the employees are the masters because we have allowed the professional political class to turn our system upside down to the point where all the political power now comes from the top down,instead of from the bottom up. When you lose the "bottom up" power you lose the influence of the people. As I have been saying for a while now,it is not only conservatives like me getting screwed. The hard left are getting screwed by the Dim Party leaders just like the conservatives keep getting screwed by the Dim Lite Party leaders. If we,the conservatives AND the left,want to go back to a representative system where WE are the masters and the politicians are our employees,we MUST start seizing control at the local levels and extend our power up. The FACT is than not a single politician in DC is there without our permission. You can't blame the party leadership for seizing all the power they can seize and pushing forward candidates that guarantee their positions and power. The blame is ours for letting them get away with it.
