Louisiana's first shrimping season since the BP oil disaster spewed millions of gallons of crude into the Gulf of Mexico got underway Monday, but few boats took to the water and the ones that did found oil, a major shrimp wholesaler said. "We got four boats that went out -- out of 1,400 -- and I'm hearing they're finding oil," Dean Blanchard, the largest shrimp wholesaler in the United States told AFP by phone from Grand Isle, Louisiana. "They drag, they find oil, they throw the stuff back in, and they're looking for cleaner waters," he said. The Louisiana commission of wildlife and fisheries announced that the August shrimp season would open on schedule Monday after several government agencies gave most of the state's fishing grounds a clean bill of health, Ewell Smith, executive director of the Louisiana Seafood Promotion Board said. "NOAA, FDA, EPA -- all those groups have given us a clean bill of health as far as the waters that are open," said Smith, referring to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Food and Drug Administration and the Environmental Protection Agency. "Nearly all state waters are open -- we're close to 90 percent open including part of Barataria Bay," a key shrimping ground, Smith added. Blanchard said he had heard reports that only around 50 boats out of Louisiana's fleet of around 5,000 had taken to sea for the start of the four-month shrimping season, but it was impossible to confirm the number. Many Louisiana fishermen were still working on the clean-up effort, for which they get paid by BP, whose rig sparked the worst environmental disaster in US history when it blew up in April and sank to the sea floor, hemorrhaging crude for more than 100 days. The well was capped early this month, but scientists have warned that the effects of the oil that gushed from it and the dispersant used to break up the slick could contaminate Gulf seafood for years. "Oil can release hydrogen sulfide gas and contains traces of heavy metals as well as nonvolatile polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons that can contaminate the food chain," Drs Sarah Janssen and Gina Solomon wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons include "probable carcinogens" and can accumulate for years in invertebrates such as oysters, crab and shrimp, the signature seafood of the Gulf of Mexico, they warned. Nearly three-quarters of US wild shrimp come from the Gulf of Mexico, which is also a major US crab fishery and oyster ground.

Let’s ummm, plug that leak, ok BP? June 1, 2010 So, I haven’t been writing anything about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico because I really thought BP would have their shit together by now. But their latest attempt has yet again, hit the fan. The oil spill in the Gulf, which occurred after the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion on April 20th, is now the 3rd largest waste of oil in history. BP has come under a lot of scrutiny for their lack of success in cleaning up their mess, which is beginning to damage a good chunk of the US coastline.

Alarmed by what he saw, the former VOO worker called the Coast Guard to report what he believed was a private contractor company spraying dispersants. "We were later told by the Coast Guard they'd investigated the incident and told us what we saw were vacuum boats sucking oil, and they were rinsing their tanks," he said. "But we know this is a lie and that BP is using these out of state contractors to come in and spray the dispersant at night and they are using planes to drop it as well." He worked in the VOO program looking for oil. When his team would find oil, upon reporting it, they would consistently be sent away without explanation or the opportunity to clean it. "They made us abort these missions," he said. "Two days ago I put out boom in a bunch of oil for five minutes, they told me to abort the mission, so I pulled up boom soaked in oil. What the hell are we doing out there if they won't let us work to clean up the oil?" He told Truthout that as his and other VOO teams would be going out to work on the water in the morning, they would pass the out-of-state contractors in Carolina Skiffs coming in from what he believed to be a covert spraying of the oil with dispersant in order to sink it. He believes this was done to deliberately prevent the VOO teams from finding and collecting oil. By doing so, BP's liability would be lessened since the oil giant will be fined for the amount of oil collected. "BP brings in the Carolina Skiffs to spray the dispersant at night," he added, "And they are not accountable to the Coast Guard."

There is something to the rumor that MC252A was drilled and then suddenly stopped, Thomas Jefferson direct/live - data stream to landline which became copy on the internet was stopped after this.

Due to BP's Immaculate Deception, you've actually been seeing images from two different well locations approximately 300 feet apart!
with MC252B drilled as a relief well to the failure at MC252A.
Then the massive F'K up.
USS Thomas Jefferson compiled about the plumes rising near the BOP. The BOP is represented by the Red Square, the plumes of oil and gas are represented by brown and yellow, Methane and oil anomolies are represented by brown, green, and white.
Everything is getting washed now,.....the sheeple buy the lies and drink the corexit.
