Title: Zsa Zsa Gabor Calls In Priest For Final Rites

Zsa Zsa Gabor, the 93-year-old Hollywood star who has been hospitalized due to complications from a broken hip, called a priest into her hospital room Sunday for her final rites, her publicist said.

"Actress Zsa Zsa Gabor has seen a priest and is not doing very well. She's in serious condition. She asked to see a priest and receive her last rites," publicist John Blanchette told AFP.

Gabor "spent her 24th wedding anniversary (Saturday) hospitalized after surgery to remove two blood clots," Blanchette said.

Her husband, Frederic von Anhalt "is at at her side. It is a very difficult time for her family," the spokesman said.

The blood clot surgery Saturday came just two days after Gabor was released from a California hospital following complications from a bad fall on July 17 when she broke her hip.

The Hungarian-born actress and former beauty queen's lengthy film career includes spots in a dozen films and television series, including John Huston's 1952 "Moulin Rouge" and the 1958 film noir "Touch of Evil" by Orson Welles. She lent her voice to several animated films and TV series.

But the platinum blonde is especially known for her flamboyant lifestyle, legal troubles, nine marriages and a propensity to call just about everyone "darling" with her distinctive accent.

And let's hope it comes with the mental faculties to call in a priest, shaman, soothsayer, witchdoctor, or bartender to say a proper farewell.

Someone else envoked a bartender in the same sentence as priest. It is fitting.

The other day I saw you said you would pray for a sick person Fred. Exactly who does a non believer pray to?

I don't know the last time I've been to a bar. I guess back in January when I went to Vegas is as close as I get to qualifying. I rarely drink.

I don't have anything against people who drink. I just don't really like the way it tastes. Sometimes it tastes good but not usually to me.

I never could stand the taste of beer until I worked for a farmer baling hay.

At the hot days end, he had an old refrig in the barn that kept beer around 30 degrees. Frost would form on the bottle and damn was it good.

Still enjoy a bit of beer but it goes directly into my freezer about 20 minute before I drink a bottle. Still striving for that 'frosted' effect.

It definately has to be cold.

Now let me tell you my story.

I do woodworking and stuff. I used to work for this guy who also had a small farm. He voluneered me after work one day to load some hay for him while he bailed it. I guess I get hay fever. My nose was running and eyes watering and sneezing the whole time. It sucked. He didn't offer me a beer afterwards but some "juice water". He went to the fridge and got out one of those frozen cans of juice. He must have added 10 containers full of water. It was awful. I'd rather of had plain water. Let me add that he was a liberal. Had many interesting political conversations with him and his brother. I like those two dudes though.

I can't--and won't--answer this in a few short, snappy phrases on the Internet. This takes time. It's like asking someone to "wrap up" her or his life's experiencs in 50 words or less. It doesn't do anyone justice.

Understanding what makes people tic is an effort, a hard effort. This is not the stuff of Internet banter. The fact that one minor thought or two can seep into another person's mind via this medium is already a miracle.

And let's hope it comes with the mental faculties to call in a priest, shaman, soothsayer, witchdoctor, or bartender to say a proper farewell.

As the French philosopher Voltaire lay dying in his bed,a priest came to him and told him he should renounce Satan and accept God. Voltaire is reported to have replied with "This is not the time to be making new enemies."

"I adore John McCain, support him 100 percent and will do everything I can to support his reelection. As everyone knows, I was honored and proud to run with him. And Todd and I were with him in D.C. just a week ago." (Sarah Palin,Dec 2009) ************************************ DID Palin say or write these things or not? (Me) I don't know or F ing care. Reminds me of my first hay baling days on the farm across the road. I was around 12 years old and paid .25 an hour.

Dusty, hot and the worst having to load the barn, as if working on the trailer in the field wasn't bad enough.

The farmers wife would bring out to us boys what she called 'lemonade'. It seemed to consist of a small wedge of lemon in a gallon jug with maybe a tablespoon of sugar. Luraine was her name and the nicest of nice. Earl, her husband hated it when she would prompt a 'shutdown' for lemonade break.

What fine and decent folks they were.

Someone else envoked a bartender in the same sentence as priest.

Well, I think we all know I'm the person who mentioned a bartender in the same sentence as priest.

We all confess where we feel safe to do so...whether that's a priest, a bartender, hairdresser, or Jack the dog, so be it. It was expressed...that's the important thing (at least to me).

BTW, if tempted to think that bartenders and similar service providers can't offer up real help, consider this: many hairdressers are now taught to look out for signs of cancer on the scalp and neck.

Sometimes, you never know just where help is hiding to spring into action--sort of like the Good Samaritan.

"Pour me a double!"

Democrats vs Republicans: The false paradigm of American politics
What paradigm? That is the type of response one would receive from the average voter in the United States today. It reflects the clandestine ignorance of the majority of the populace today. So the question becomes, why does the population continue to believe in the so called, left-right paradigm?

People continue to believe in fallacies like the left-right paradigm because they are inclined for some reason- to make decisions based on their feelings, rather than objective logic or rational thought unfortunately.
