The biggest summer for racial tension since 1994 continues, this time with a strange, n-word-laden rant from what has been typically perceived as a fairly innocuous source: Dr. Laura Schlessinger. Speaking to a black caller who called for advice on handling racial tensions with her white husband, Dr. Laura uses the offensive word eleven times and ultimately tells the caller that if she doesn't "have a sense of humor," she should not "marry out of your race."

Actually what "sucks" is unqualified deadbeats receiving loans that they should have NEVER received in the first place helped FUBAR the economy. It was nothing but AA money subsidized by hardworking Americans. Funny, but even Dubya supported CRA. But let's face it - through AA and gubmint-enforced preference hiring in gubmint and the private sector, reparations has been paid and the primary reason a black middle class/upper class has grown leaps and bounds. I'll "confess" to being a Christian - so it is difficult for me to understand the mindset of agnostics or atheists. Many of them tend to be what society considers well-educated and intelligent. Yet they miss one of the most basic human traits that I - as someone whose wall is sorely lacking in framed degrees - have observed all my life. Blaise Pascal observed it when he wrote about a God shaped vacuum in the heart of every man. Even if one questions or denies the existence of God, it does not seem intellectually honest to deny this one trait of human nature. Especially when we have seen it played out in culture after culture throughout human history. It's difficult for me, but I will attempt to argue from an agnostic point of view. I believe I can make the case that man NEEDS an external, larger than himself entity to be the arbiter of laws, rules and order in a society. Without arguing whether or not the Founders were Christians or even believers in God (some were, some weren't), they DID recognize the benefit of assigning the source of human rights to Him. Thus the term "endowed by their Creator" in the founding documents. Unfortunately for us here in 2010, the Constitution they created was NOT a supernatural document. It depended (and still depends) upon humans to enact and enforce it. So here we are, after 200 short years of human tinkering and outright corruption, with nothing more than what Bush described as a " . . . piece of paper." Whether agnostics and atheists of the statist variety wish to acknowledge it or not, the "glorious" humanistic utopia they wish to create will be given god- like powers. The laws of human nature are just as sure as the laws of physics or gravity. Where will they be then?

You missed her entire point. IF as you say - the word is so terrible (and for the record, it's not a word I use), why is it "okay" for black entertainers to utter it in public? She doesn't listen to the callers. She doesn't care about the callers. I haven't listened to Dr. Laura for about 10 years. They took her off the air after 911 and replaced her with Glenn Beck. Haven't heard her since. I remember her giving what seemed to me to be good advice.

The topic is the progression of the a specific underclass. Focus. The CRA had zipola to do with the financial crisis. In some locales, CRA loan portfolios performed better than non CRA portfolios. Under CRA, loans are not given to people who cannot afford them. Loans are given to people who have credit scores identical to other, non-CRA locales.
