According to the US Billboard’s Mid-Year Tour Charts rock legends AC/DC are this year’s highest grossing live act so far, banking over $118 million during the past six months of touring.

The Aussie-Brit combo rock band released their sixteenth studio album ‘Black Ice’ in 2008, followed by their return to the live stage after an eight-year break from the road. Promoting ‘Black Ice’ across the world their tour notched up astonishing tickets sales with the band grossing $135 million having been watched by an estimated total of 1.6 million fans. That’s not all though, the band continue to tour this year and have already been watched by a further one million people on top of that!

Collecting data from November 2008 to June 2010, the Billboard Mid-year Tour Chart showed that AC/DC topped the list having beaten impressive figures from other big name bands such as Bon Jovi ($52 million) and Metallica ($40 million).

As a result, AC/DC’s 2008-2010 ‘Black Ice’ tour has been given the title of being the second-highest grossing tour in history, with figures to date totalling up to a staggering $441.6 million. Ranking second to the Rolling Stones’ ‘A Bigger Bang’ tour which rolled out through 2005-2007, Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie grossed an almighty $558.3 million from a total of 147 shows across the globe. http://www.stereoboard.com/content/view/161139/9

AC/DC "What's Next to the Moon"

Thanks stone, and eric, my son, thanks you, BIG FAN! I've been putting together some CD's and music video's for him, they include, but are not limited to...lol

Guns N Roses: "Appetite for Destruction" and "Chinese Democracy"...

He still remembers meeting with Guns N Roses at the Hard Rock Cafe, New York during his senior trip (1990).

BTW stone, I'm not much of a fan to hard rock music, but I will forever be grateful to these bands Eric loves so well. I used his music to help bring him out of the coma he lay in back in 97'...and it worked. My favorite was 'Knockin on Heavens Door'(1997)...

Based on what?

AC/DC is nothing but no-talent, screaming garbage.

I think Murron put herself into a coma making mix tapes for her kid.

Can you imagine how this band would have done had Bon Scott lived? Brian Johnson isn't a slouch but he's no Bon Scott.

You'd probably like him too.

But his fans hated it.

Someone gave me an AC/DC album once which really surprised me. I never really listened to it as it's not my sort of music, but it showed me some actually feel this gendre is music most people like.

I think it was called 'Back in Black, I'm not sure. I'll have to look in my old CD box to see if I still have it.

I'm not into them, but I wish this group success and happiness in the future.

"I think Murron put herself into a coma making mix tapes for her kid."

What I confided in to stone had nothing to do with you, what you said was uncalled for. I noticed you mentioned you have a daughter, I would never, ever, wish upon your child what our went through, the grieving of not knowing if they'll live or die is heartbreaking.

But if this had ever happened to your daugther, you would have done ANYTHING, played ANY MUSIC, to bring them back to you.

Hate me all you want, but don't use my children to hurt me, I would never do that to you.

It used to come up everyday in two places, my home and the bug house unit where I worked. Where I had to tell 'inmates' of both to turn the shit down.
