Mexican Invasion Title: Disinterest In National Security Smells Like Treason: When Do We Call It Treason? Disinterest In National Security Smells Like Treason June 5, 2010 Linda Turley-Hansen, East Valley Tribune When do we call it treason? This is what I see: A president who refuses to secure our borders. In fact, he stands in harmony with the Mexican president who verbally attacks Arizona for taking decisive steps to keep its citizens safe and treasury intact. Under heavy pressure, President Barack Obama finally met with Gov. Jan Brewer on Thursday. Knowing what we know, its fair to call the meeting appeasement for international theater. Obama is on the record as being against Arizonas immigration law. Its misguided, he says. Hes now passed Brewer off to officials for further discussion about the cost of the border chaos. Yet still, the border remains open. Treason: Violation of allegiance toward ones country especially the betrayal by consciously and purposely acting to aid its enemies. (education.yahoo.com) Leaving our borders open knowingly provides illegal entry into America. Terrorists know all about it. Obama knows they know. Earlier this year (March 18, 2010), Homeland Security News reported this warning by the head of the FBI: In February, Sheikh Abdullah al-Nasifi, a known al-Qaida recruiter in Kuwait, boasted on al Jazeera television that Mexicos border with the United States was the ideal infiltration point for terrorists seeking to attack America. Four pounds of anthrax in a suitcase this big carried by a fighter through tunnels from Mexico into the U.S., are guaranteed to kill 330,000 Americans within a single hour if it is properly spread in population centers there, al-Nasifi said. Its old news, terrorists having access to the southern border. Pathetically, embarrassingly, Obama offers 1,200 National Guard troops. Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution demands that the president protect every state in the union against invasion. Its the law of the land. Disinterest in our national security smells like treason. Obama offends our allies, yet embraces our detractors. We dont know who Barack Obama is. We hoped we knew him. We thought, Yes, maybe this man is different. Is this just politics? Is it about republicans and democrats? Whether we lean to the left or right, we better find out. Since 9/11, weve been put on notice that more is coming. Yet, still the border sits wide open. One must ask: When is the bridge to treason crossed? I dont feel safe. My neighbors dont feel safe. Citizens across this continent dont feel safe. In neighborhood gatherings, the topic is fear. People are buying extra food, stocking water. When trust goes missing, citizens begin to fear for their civil rights: Guns, speech, liberty to move freely; basic rights that represent the American way. Trust is the greatest of all gifts the Oval Office receives from the citizenry. Its a Presidents to lose, to squander, to kiss off. How is it, this president is so disconnected from his citizens and his troops? Really, do you want to blame all this on politics? Everywhere, others are asking similar questions; the blogs, some of the mainstream media, not just conservative cable. They no longer see this president as hope. They sense a chill in his demeanor. He seems disoriented, appears to feign emotion. Yes, words still come easily, but action is absent, and the promised transparency non-existent. Some think his worst problem is oil washing up on the Louisiana shores. Clearly, the oil scum is symbolic of whats really coming at us. Heaven forbid we should come under attack while hes the commander in chief. I dont know who he is, but his mind is not the mind of the American majority. We think the November elections will neutralize him. No. Only he can put us at ease. Otherwise, as long as hes the one who receives that 3 a.m. phone call, this nation dare not sleep. I've been calling it treason for years now, through the Reagan administration, Clinton, two Bush presidents, and now hObama. But folks like to vote for D's and R's, so don't expect any change for the better, unless they wise up real soon.
The word "Treason" has been banded about so much that it seems to have lost it's sting, but we should never give TRAITORS a pass because it's overused...NEVER!!
