The idea that there could be a sin so grievous to God that it will never be forgiven, is a very scary thing to most Christians. It is not uncommon for believers to question at one point or another, whether they have strayed so far from God as to have forfeited any hope of redemption. To further complicate the issue, there are more than a few believers who have reached and promote conclusions which are unsupported by scripture. This can lead to much needless worry on the part of believers.
