Should Republicans take back the House in November, Rep. Michele Bachmann said she wants the GOP to focus all of its attention on issuing subpoenas and holding hearings investigating the Obama administration and Democrats. “I think that’s all we should do,” Bachmann said at the GOP Youth Convention in Washington on Thursday. “I think all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another and expose all the nonsense that has gone on." Bachmann said that Republicans have all their chips on the table in November. “This is the year — this is it,” she said. Republicans need to gain 39 seats in November in order to retake the House, which even President Obama’s Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has admitted is possible. By winning the House, Republicans would be able to issue subpoenas through controlling the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which has subpoena power. Currently, ranking member Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has not been granted access to subpoenas. Bachmann is not a member of the Oversight Committee.

Why should she? Pelosi not up to the task? Besides - in the eyes of you and your fellow statists, Bachmann's ALREADY guilty. (guilty of being a conservative republican, that is)

Just ask Bill Clinton,who sent George Stephanopolis out to the Sunday talks shows to warn everybody that if he went down he was taking other people down with him.

She is most definitely what passes for a Republican these days,but she sure as hell is not a conservative. You can't be a Israel-Firster and be a conservative.

I can't figure out what happened,there. I wonder who he pissed off,and why they are pissed. My best GUESS is somebody higher up in the Dim Party didn't get their cut of Rangel's bribe money. Either that,or the Dim Party is using him in a cynical attempt to "prove" they are out to stop corruption,and know that no matter what they say or do to him he will still get re-elected. OR.....,it could be a combination of number 1,and Adam Clayton Powell 4 paying somebody off to try and pressure him into resigning so Powell can reclaim the "family seat".

She probably falls under the sub-set "social" conservative. I don't know how she is on economic issues. If you're right and she puts other country's interests ahead of our own, then she's not a Constitutionalist.

That's it,Yukie. Play the anti-Semite card. The FACT is that Israel is a sovereign nation with her own goals and interests and priorities,and she is NOT a part of the United States. Taking that a step further into the obvious for people like you,this means that the job of US politicians and why they are elected is to look out for the interests of America and American citizens. Israel isn't America (Hell,it is a socialist theocracy!),and Israeli's are NOT American citizens.
