NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The government is allowing commercial and recreational fishing again in roughly one third of the waters it had closed because of the BP oil spill.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said the area that reopened Thursday is 26,388 square miles of federal waters in the Gulf.

The administration said that since mid-June, no oil had been found in the area. Additionally, projections of where the oil might go in the future shows a low risk of the area being hit.

NOAA also says fish caught in the area and tested have shown no signs of contamination.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke says that the reopening provides important assurance that seafood is safe and protects the Gulf seafood brand. Subscribe to *Spill-Baby-Spill*

Ecocide of the Gulf and this is what we're getting.

Straight up lies.

Note again and always how fast the Government can move when it wants something. How slow it can go when it doesn't. ;}

I don't know what Vanadium is, but I know what the EPA is.

What's up with this?

Straight up lies.

When does the evacuation commence, mcclown? How many million are going to die as a result of Obama's GOM disaster? How's that "peak oil" thingy going for you?

Don't be bashful, mcclown! You've made a fool of yourself enough that a few more times won't harm what little credibility you now have.

The EPA is finding nothing hazardous.

And reporting it's findings in non ppm measurements.

Just another blatant cover up. ;}

Plaintiffs Attorneys Knock BP Fund Administrator, Daily Business Review, July 26, 2010:

[Marathon fisherman Nilo Hernandez] said tarballs don’t have to wash up in Key West for the environmental impact of the spill to be felt in Florida Bay… “It’s definitely contaminated now. How much will have to be determined,” Hernandez said. …

The anger of Keys residents over the spill was apparent when BP set up a claims office across the street from the Marathon airport, Hernandez said. “People went over there, and they wanted to kill them.” The claims office has brought in security.

I mean, remember this from the Wayback Machine?

Senator confirms reports that wellbore is pierced; oil seeping from seabed in multiple places June 7th, 2010 at 11:10 PM Print Post Email Post Share1505 TOP5K137retweet

Senator Bill Nelson was interviewed by Andrea Mitchell this morning on MSNBC and confirmed reports of oil seeping up from additional leak points on the seafloor.

Anyone here think they didn't know about Rigel and the rest of the seeps, abandoned wells back then?

How much time could have been saved by just mentioning Rigel?

Oh yeah, "Bea, 'There were no natural seeps Within 3 Kilometers of Blown Out Well.'

And this is the way it's going to be until the NOGC +Florida collapse. One Truth after another seeping out of the Wellbore that IS the Dragon King.

What else don't we know that's guaranteed to affect our lives for the worse.

I found lots of info here:

www.floridaoilspilllaw.co...sful-unproduced-gas-field

Speculation about a possible impact on the Rigel well did occur at the Oil Drum. Once. About a month ago.

BP’s Deepwater Oil Spill – The Admiral on Casing and Connections, Oil Drum, June 21, 2010:

COMMENT BY ‘LURKING’

Anybody happen to know if the Rigel or 17 Hands gas fields are in danger of being affected by fluids from the BP stovepipe?…

The reason I ask is that over the last few days, I’ve seen what appear to be more gas in the plume… as if I can tell what it is when I see it. I’m referring to the globs of bluish white that you see in the plume.. not the milky dispersant from the nozzles. I have no idea what the pay depth for those two fields are, but if they are contributing to the flow… that would be bad.

Yes I did.

I've been reading and absorbing what I can. Everything is a science these days...they've got the Gulf floor mapped out in grids...Mississippi Canyon 252.

I'm still plugging away at my snail pace.
