DETROIT — Toyota said Wednesday that its investigation of about 2,000 vehicles reported to experience sudden acceleration found evidence that sticking accelerator pedals and interference by floor mats — the subjects of two big recalls — did indeed cause some of the incidents.

Anyone else smart enough to remember the Toyota and Nissan vans from the past? The ones that used to catch on fire and their dealers refused to fix, trade 'em in or get lost.
The Toyota POS was so pathetic you had to pull the engine to change the spark plugs.

Sony like all other elec companies licenses patents from other companies for $1/year. Sad to say all the same designs have been passed around like a $2 hooker.
Production has moved from farmers wives in US to Japan to Taiwan, Singapore and last I was there Malaysia. At the same time we were looking to farm the Malaysians jobs out to China.
The Malaysian workers, lots of them from Indonesia made 57 cents an hour. China was cheaper.
