AP photo composite by POLITICO Digg/Buzz It UpDigg this Story!Buzz it up!Add to LinkedIn.POLITICO 44Three top House Republicans are set to release a book this fall about the future of conservative politics, placing a younger set of GOP lawmakers center stage as the party makes its final push to win control of the House. “Young Guns” by House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Republican Reps. Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) and Paul Ryan (Wisc.) will be released Sept. 14, timed for the closing two months of the mid-term election campaign. Publisher Simon and Schuster announced the book in a release Monday. The book, which is subtitled “a new generation of conservative leaders,” is expected to put the trio of lawmakers on a publicity tour in the fall, giving them increased visibility. House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio), who would be speaker of the House if Republicans capture enough seats, is not involved in the book, which pictures Cantor, McCarthy and Ryan on the cover. The 224-page book will say that Republicans have “lost sight of American ideals” and, according to a preview, will outline a “new direction for the Republican party.” “Through campaign support for those who believe in private sector job creation, maximized individual freedom, and a better America for our children, the Young Guns are changing the face of the Republican Party and giving Americans a road-map to get back to the American Dream,” an advanced summary of the book reads.

Cantor's own rhetoric sounds as if his gun is an inherited relic. The "tax cut" experiment has failed. Clinton, although it was more dumb luck than anything else, probably hit the max point on the Laffer curve. The GOP results have been nothing more then bigger debt and deficits. The reason? Too much spending is structural and revenue growth has lagged because the tax cuts were stupid. Any "new" direction has to be aimed squarely at this otherwise it's the same old same old.
"Progressives" and DemocRATS are nothing but THEIVES through the tax system and VANDALS of our Constitution, particularly the First (Internet "Kill Switch", "Fairness" Doctrine), Second (ALL "gun control laws"), Ninth (Gun Control, Property Rights, Eminent Domain) and Tenth Amendments (Arizona Immigration Law Lawsuit). Theives and Vandals ALWAYS make a out of THEMSELVES in the end. And just in case you have reached the stage where you can no longer understand words and pictures here is a little communication at a level you peobably will be able to understand now. Laffer has a new suggestion My suggestion would have been to take all $3.6 trillion and declare a federal tax holiday for 18 months. No income tax, no corporate profits tax, no capital gains tax, no estate tax, no payroll tax (FICA) either employee or employer, no Medicare or Medicaid taxes, no federal excise taxes, no tariffs, no federal taxes at all, which would have reduced federal revenues by $2.4 trillion annually. Can you imagine where employment would be today? How does a 2.5% unemployment rate sound?
The Progressive Income Tax had Adam Smith and Thomas Jefferson as early proponents.
~1/3 of the Federal budget directly supports the war machine. Probably another 10-15% indirectly supports it. Defense workers comprise a double digit % of the US workforce.
We would not need all of this "defense" spending if your "Progressive" JACKASS friends would get rid of the 20,000 GENOCIDAL GUN CONTROL LAWS at the federal, state and local levels and get us back to the voluntary militia of the several states that the founders intended for domestic defense. Gun Control and standing armies should be flushed down the toilet of history with all other "progressivism". (The Navy, Air Force, Marines are another matter, The founders realized that these branches of the military service had to be on a standing basis to be effective and saw to that in the Constitution. (The Marines are a part of the Navy and were originally designed to be ship boarding troops. The Air Force of course did not exist in the Founding times but I think the Founders would have regarded it in the same way as the Navy if it did. However the founders were dead AGAINST a standing ARMY either conscript of voluntary for pretty much the reasons we are seeing now (Such an army would be used for domestic tyrany and foreign imperialism) and that was one of the reasons for the Second Amendemnt mentioning the Militia.)

In case you are still wondering about it I have started the "bites" again under another name, The Worst "Progressive" DONKEY Awards. This new award is based on the scene from the story of Pinocchio where bad boys (ie "Progressives") are turned into donkeys by their own bad (ie "Progressive") behavior and sent to the salt mines.

The only issue that I have with "gun control" is when my allergies kick up and I can't control my breathing. Guns are like drugs...anyone can get them no matter what the law is.
