Bakersfield police began pursuing the 2001 Acura around 9:20 p.m. Friday. They say the driver stopped, but then backed into a patrol car after being approached by two officers. The officers opened fire multiple times, striking the teen. Police say he was pronounced dead at Kern Medical Center. The Kern County Sheriff's Office identified the suspect as Traveon John Avila. A 17-year-old passenger was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, auto theft and participation in a criminal street gang. Police say a third person in the vehicle managed to escape. The officers have been placed on routine administrative leave, as the shooting is investigated. There is zero evidence either one of the cops that were doing the shooter were ever in any real danger. Plus,I can shoot the gangsta wannabe's who are robbing me and not be murdered by the cops or go to jail forever. Furthermore backing a car toward them is grounds for getting wasted in any city on this globe...... I know,but it shouldn't be. .same thing as cranking off a round at the cops but missing badly. It is a LOT more common than gangstas of any color holding citizens at gunpoint. AND......,I'm not really sure there ARE any real gangstas around where I live.
