Title: BRAVO to Ann Coulter

Bravo to Ann Coulter for calling on neo-commies like Bill Kristol to STFU with regards to Micheal Steel's comments on Afghanistan.

RNC Chairman Michael Steel said that America had every right to dispatch the al- Queda presence in Afghanistan, but that it was crazy to bog American troops down in a no-win situation in Afghanistan. The unruly Afghans could not be subdued by the Brits or Soviets. More importantly, our real enemy -- al-Queda -- has moved on to Pakistan, Yemen, and Somalia.

It's absolutely foolish to continue to waste American lives and money in Afghanistan.

We can accomplish our continued goals there by bribing a handful of warlords, using a fraction of the money and American lives that we'll spend on Obama's direct military action. We did it with Egypt -- bribing them to make nice with Israel. Over the last 30 years, the amount of money we spent on Egypt to achieve some amount of peace in the middle is tiny compared to what we've spent on Afghanistan in the last few years.

It's about time that real conservatives stand up to the big government neo- commies in the GOP and their demented foreign policy (not to mention their crazy "government greatness" philosophy at home).

BRAVO to Ann Coulter for joining (and given her position, leading) the growing conservative dissent to the neo-commies war mongering foreign policy.

I am more encouraged than ever that we are heading for real, positive change.

Thank you Ann.

I have to agree, and add that I am shocked to see her do this. There must be a lot of movement in the background that most of us can't see,or she would have never done it.

Good point. That's why I'm a cynic. Regardless, she is saying now and I agree, so I am going to exploit her comments to promote my views.

Most importantly, her comments have every non-thinking conservative confused.

Sure, some will lash out against her, but some will agree. The latter are people that we can enlist to reform the country.

That's why this is important.

Yes, that is what her and Steele (the head of the Republican National Committee) said. It's crazy to involve the U.S. in a land war in Afghanistan.

Of couse, they are right.

Every neo-con talking head from Kristol to Krauthammer is SHITTING IN THEIR PANTS.

This makes me soooooo happy...

Things ARE starting to change. It's going to be a tough road, but could anyone imagine even a few years ago that these views would be articulated by the RNC Chairman and a leading "conservative" commentator??? NOT A CHANCE.

But it's happening today.

Perhaps Ann hasn't noticed, but Afghanistan isn't Egypt, and its always easier to brib a people into doing what they want to do anyway.

The Afghan warlords are much easier to bribe than the Egyptian government.

Regardless, al-Qaeda is largely gone from Afghanistan and dispersed to Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and many other countries.

al-Qaeda is not a state with a defined border like Germany or Japan were during WWII, yet this is exactly how the brain-dead U.S. government is trying to fight them.

That uninformed policy is doomed to fail.

Did she do this because she's brave? No. She did it because she has recognized that things are changing. She wants to get ahead of the future.

It means that "we" (the Tea Party in general, with both sides Paul and Palin) are winning.

WRONG.

One does not take on the son of the founder of the neo-con movement (Irving Kristol) who is also the leading light of the current neo-con movement unless one has a serious motivation for doing so.

Let's suppose that she is 100% selfish in her motivation. Why would she take on Kristol? Because she must believe that the neo-con rein over the GOP is coming to a close. Otherwise, it would be political (and career) suicide to challenge them.

I always find it so strange when "conservatives" don't get people acting in their own self-interest.

YOU DID.

Instead of waking up and saying: "you're right, sorry, let's get back to the issues at hand", you blamed me for FOLLOWING YOU into the mud.

You're an adult and you still need mommy and daddy to put you in your place. Now, government is taking over that role because your parents are sick of it, but someone has to do it because you aren't able to do it for yourself.

Yeah sure, which is why 15 of the 19 9/11 suicide terrorists were from Egypt.

The Egyptian government has a very difficult task.

Make no mistake, if it weren't for America's $2 BILLION a year, that whole country could be in hands of the Muslim Brotherhood.

$2 BILLION a year is POCKET CHANGE compared to what we've spent on Afghanistan and Iran.

Savage has been slowly moving away from the neo-commies for a couple years. I love it. Like Coulter, he sees the hand writing on the wall. He wants to continue making money and his audience is changing their opinions. This is great news because both of them are a leading indicator of where the country going.
