Title: Some Democrats Fear Backlash Over Obama's Handling of Immigration

Some Democrats, even in Arizona, are fearing an election backlash over immigration, as President Obama sues Arizona over its new immigration enforcement law and pushes Congress to pass a comprehensive immigration overhaul.

"My concern is that the federal government is suing the state of Arizona, ironically, over the ability to enforce immigration laws -- where if the federal government had been doing its job over the years, we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place," Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., said.

Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard, the Democratic nominee for governor, urged the Obama administration to back off Arizona's new law, which allows state and local authorities to ask people for immigration documents during unrelated enforcement encounters – such as traffic stops.

The president appears to be out of step with public opinion on immigration. The latest Fox News Opinion Dynamics poll shows 2-to-1 support nationwide for Arizona's law, including 73 percent of Republicans, 57 percent of independents and one out of three Democrats.

On immigration, the GOP accuses Democrats of ignoring a border crisis and selling out national security to cynically court Latino votes.

"The reason why both parties are playing football with immigration is because their supporters in the stands are cheering," said Larry Sabato, director of University of Virginia's Center of Politics. "This plays to the base on both sides. It's red meat for the base."

The liberal red meat served up by Democrats mostly stops short of calling Republicans racist but does call GOP immigration policy hostile to minorities, particularly Hispanics, the biggest and fastest growing U.S. minority.

But in Colorado, a recent Denver Post poll said 62 percent of Colorado Hispanics favor a law like Arizona's. The state's Republican gubernatorial front runner Scott McInnis supports it. But Democratic gubernatorial candidate John Hickenlooper, the mayor of Denver, opposes it, putting himself at odds with those Colorado Latinos.

"Until Washington D.C. realizes that they are being absolutely and totally failures at border security, you can't talk about immigration reform," Texas Gov. Rick Perry said.

On the other hand, Perry has seen his Latino support plummet and his double-digit lead over Democratic challenger and Houston Mayor Bill White all but vanish since the Arizona controversy began.

Separate from border states – wherever a close race emerges this year, count on immigration to be a prominent wedge issue. Subscribe to *Standing Ovation4Mexico Dems*

fearing an election backlash over immigration

McCain felt that backlash in 2008 over Bush's hispandering. Likely he's going to feel it again one more time, before he's done for good.

Most R&D's need to feel that backlash. Vote all the anti-Americans globalist bums out! We're doomed if those two corrupt parties continue to control government.

Hopefuly some third party is sucessful.

This is what causes Pogroms:

Thursday, July 8, 2010 Baltic Dry Rate Continues To Plunge The Baltic Dry, which contrary to what some may claim, actually is one of the best leading indicators on global trade and thus the health of the economy, continues to plunge, and is now below 2000, hitting fresh 14 month lows, at 1940. It is now at the levels last seen during the March 2009 "generational" low, and just after the Lehman bankruptcy. Yet futures are up as initial claims beat expectations by 6,000 very statistically relevant people.

On a gloomy recent morning in West Oakland, tenants at the David Gray Building — or, Off-Ramp Studios, as everyone who lives there calls it — stood in the hallways outside their lofts. They gathered around their doors in nervous clusters and spoke in hushed tones, wondering aloud whether they should head to work or stay and observe while two Oakland police officers, two building services code enforcers, a fire inspector, and three property management representatives entered all of their units one by one.

Huge Brass Balls and A Burn In The Bay: BART Shooting Verdict By: bmaz Thursday July 8, 2010 8:14 pm

Sundown will be bouncing in off the water soon. There is probably a false lull except on the arterials leaving. But there is talk of a burn by the bay tonight. A city on flame from the ill will between the black and the blue. The verdict is, inexplicably, involuntary manslaughter in the Oakland Bay Area Rapid Transit subway execution of young Oscar Grant by cop:

Within minutes of the verdict being read, the city was preparing for the the slow burn to lead to explosion:

3:30 p.m. City asks residents/merchants to prepare for possible violence

Police are advising residents to park cars in garages or a secure location if possible. Many streets in downtown are being closed off.

Residents and merchants should remove or secure large trash cans that are on the street. To report crimes in process, call 911 or 510-777-3211 from a cell phone.

There is reason for concern. The facts are incendiary. Kevin Drum hit it pitch perfect:

Of course, this understates the case a wee bit. Mehserle, along with several other BART cops, had Grant pinned face first on the ground when he very deliberately pulled out his gun and shot Grant in the back. Mehserle’s defense is that he meant to pull out his taser but mistakenly pulled out his gun instead. This is, needless to say, pretty hard to accept, and there’s little question that there’s a jury anywhere in the country that would have bought this story from anyone who wasn’t a police officer. You can judge for yourself in the cell phone video taken by a witness (the clearest view starts around the 1:45 mark).

I hardly even know what to say about this. I wasn’t in court and I wasn’t on the jury, so I didn’t hear all the evidence. But for chrissake. Look at the video. Mehserle didn’t look confused and modern tasers don’t feel much like service revolvers. And it’s not as if he was acting under extreme duress. At most there was a brief and perfunctory struggle, after which Mehserle calmly raised himself up while Grant was pinned to the ground, drew his revolver, and shot him.

He's a zealot. Its not a 'conspiracy'. He firmly believes Saul Alinsky was correct. He firmly believes he's the smartest man to ever become President. He firmly believes in 'pay back' for imagined insults and slights for an entire race.

he's the closest thing to a Jihadist this nation has ever witnessed in the Whitehouse, politically.

And when we the people fire his ass in 2012, he'll blame racism. After that, the failings of others.

Its soooo predictable now.

Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.

Its soooo predictable now.

Smirk comes from contempt. Liars know that they can lie with impunity. They know or at least they assume in many cases correctly that the people they lie to are eager to take that lie and eat it. They presume that they know the public taste.

In the Y2001 and further on George Bush lied his ears off. He started lying with his morning prayer and ended with his prayer before going to sleep so that he could lie again the next morning. He lied about him being a President. He lied about his "mission'. He lied about Al-Qaeda. He lied about Iraq. He lied about his duties. He lied about him being anything but a miserable former drunk. And the more he lied the higher was his popularity index. I implore my readers to line up his public appearances in the Y2001. You will see the transition on his face from the stress of fear to the smirk of contempt. Somewhere on the way he realized that we all were the herd of stupid sheep happy to listen to the wolf. And all bets were off; he introduced a tsunami of lies we live with until today, in the Y2010. He developed and nurtured an ENVIRONMENT OF LIE.

The basic premise of this environment is lying to thyself. We, the sheep delude ourselves that we kind of need those wolves, that we hire them to do the dirty job we ourselves don't want to do. We convince ourselves that in order to protect us, to keep us safe we need a special breed of bastards who would be able to kill, maim, lie and steal very well. We justify our decisions to hire them by our perception of our own GOODNESS. We consider ourselves as the people which are BETTER than everyone else. Hello, the MASTER RACE. Wolves then can lie back to us; we accept those lies as a part of the package.

BP has committed to a $20 billion fund for clean-up and other spill costs. Its costs to date have topped $3 billion. But hard-hit coastal residents say what has been done so far is nowhere near enough. "We have been asking for more protection since the oil began spewing into the Gulf and we are so frustrated because it seems that BP wants the oil to come on shore," said Tommy Longo, mayor of Waveland, Mississippi, where high tides were washing sheets of the black crude onto the beaches."

bp stops checks to fishermen. US Gov't does nothing.

They have a plan. The Plan is to let you die.

The Small People, eh? Apologies from the GObP. Clueless.

WE SACRIFICED OUR OWN CHILDREN TO OUR VANITY! That's the word- VANITY. How easy it was to get us. Like in one Russian animated movie two villains the fox and the cat sing a song "You do not need a knife to rob an arrogant bastard. Just flatter him a little bit and he will give you all for free,' WE ARE ARROGANT BASTARDS. The Master Race always is.

Just imagine that you are not better than anyone else. Then it all becomes so clear. Why would our country attack Iraq? We do not know those people. They are very far away. Iraq cannot threaten us; we have nuclear weapons. Oil? We better look how our oil here is handled ( In a horrible irony we now have a BP disaster and no, we are not invading Britain, although we surely should). Why would we attack anyone far away for no reason but that smirking guy in the WH telling us nonsense. WE ARE NO BETTER THAN ANYONE. He belongs to the asylum

Lie is a sphinx. It attracts and repulses at the same time. I would say it is an eternal temptation. We have been tested and found very light indeed.

There are many kinds of Lie similarly to many faces of the religious totem. There could be even a good Lie, a sacred Lie, a Lie based on love and respect; such Lie actually is Istina, the higher plane of internal truthfulness. But all-in-all there is a criteria for the difference- as soon as it flatters you- it is a bad Lie, poison, death. That simple.

Stop lying to yourself first. That's how you become immune to the Lie and the smirk is wiped off its face. Let's start. Repeat after me. We raped Iraq and Afghanistan and now we behave like compulsive rapists. Those people can do what they want- it is not for us to judge their habits. We raped them and we want to rape more. Other countries do not want to be raped and we seize in rage. Then we are raped by BP. Feel it when you suck the BPs cock.

Now you know how Iraqis feel and Afghans feel and all those other victims of ours. It does not feel good, does it? We should confine ourselves to the asylum but we have not even that luxury. Have to live with it like many other nations and people lived before. No more lies. Boy, it feels good.

There, the Temple crumbles and you can see the light through the cracks.

Eight years of media misrepresentations, combined with a POTUS that refused to correct the record is at the heart of it.

Combine that with a religious bigot (Huckabee) doing everything he could to cancel out the most qualified nominee, Romney, which produced a candidate that only gained 37% of Republican votes in the primaries when they mattered (McCain) who had already demonstrated he couldn't win outside of Arizona.

Add to it the arrogance of the Clinton campaign which believed they were heading to a coronation.

Factor in the liberal viewpoint of the media when it comes to race causing them to self impose a new set of rules on a candidate because of the color of his skin.

And on the day where despite all of this, McCain had a beyond the margin of error lead primarily due to Palin, he tells the nation on its most frightening day since 1929's collapse 'I really don't know much about economic issues'...you get a completely unqualified, obscure Illinois state senator with no record of accomplishment as POTUS.

Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.

Nice summation, and plausible on its face.

That said, here is what I believe: It's silly to believe in conspiracies in the sense of black-hooded Satanists dancing around a pentagram, plotting the end of the world.

But it's equally silly (and naive) to believe that multi-billionaires, who owe no allegiance to any one country, would not use their vast resources to gain more wealth, power and influence in the world for themselves.

Obama was plucked out of obscurity - on that we agree.

But nothing happens in a vacuum.

If I could, I would.

Eight years of media misrepresentations

See Op Mockingbird for details.

The Washington Post is reporting that in the entire 77 days since oil started it's volcanic gush into the Gulf, convicted corporate monopoly felon BP has skimmed or burned only around 60 percent of the amount it said it could remove in a single day. The gap between what BP promised in its March 24 filing with federal regulators and the amount of oil recovered since the April 20 disaster has caused widespread confusion about the extent of the spill and the progress of the recovery.

That confusion, of course, is exactly what BP wants. It's why the company hasn't installed a simple device on the blowout preventer pipe to measure how much oil is blowing out of the broken pipe. It's why they're pouring millions of gallons of dispersants into the oil so it will settle into lower layers of water, out of sight and out of mind, instead of floating to the surface where it can be measured and removed.

Want to know what the avg Iraqi feels?

Think like an LA Fisherman not getting your promised check.

The mighty Wurlitzer media machine needs serious ‘enemies’ not rag-tag civilian fighters to hate. Ho Chi Minh had a real air force, air defenses, a small navy and a very large mostly modern army when we fought him. And lost.

And Che Guevara is still the most popluar man in Latin America for a reason. 8D

But since the Vietnam war, we mostly fight only disarmed, weak dictators like Saddam or barely armed civilians like the Taliban tribes of Afghanistan. We now specialize in killing barely armed civilians, usually picking them off using our air force. We rejoice in that they can’t fight back. But the Pentagon is nervous because this doesn’t justify vast military spending on weapons. The warmongers here need real armies, navies and air forces to fight! This is the only reason why the ‘Russian spy’ story ever saw the light of day.

Where I live it would be the Stars and Bars Confederate Battle Flag Opposite. The Israeli flag stands no chance.

Watch the Bonnie Blue make a comeback.

Flags are really powerful Symbolism. ;}
