J. Christian Adams, a former Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney, is blowing his we-the-people whistle on DOJ (Devils Oblivious to Justice) after it dropped all charges against the members of the New Black Panther Klan who were blatantly and irrefutably guilty of voter intimidation in Philadelphia in 2008. The egregious, craven tactics of the New Black Panther Party Klan were caught on video. One of the racist punks is carrying a pipe or stick of some type with the clear intent of intimidating voters attempting to enter the Philadelphia voting location. Dumb power, baby.
The facts about the New Black Panther Klan and its voter-intimidation tactics are very alarming - not surprising, but very alarming. In fact, they are so alarming and irrefutable that a federal court, after reams of powerful evidence was reviewed, delivered a default order against the Panther punks on April 20, 2009. Amazingly, just a couple of weeks later, Justice dropped the case against three of the punks, stating that the "facts and law" did not "support the case."
That decision was dumb and gave just cause for serious suspicion.
Mr. Adams has told Fox News that even after an open-and-shut case was fortified with corroborative eyewitness testimony and clear audio and video evidence, an Obama appointee ordered the Justice Department to no longer bring lawsuits on voter rights cases in which the defendant is black.
A department spokesman stated that Mr. Adams' claims are baseless.
Whether you believe Mr. Adams or not, the smoke swirling around this case gives serious pause to question whether racist flames are being fanned at the department.
Decisions such as these give an objective and fair-minded person such as me reason to pause. Where there is smoke there usually is fire.
And there have been plenty of smoke signals from the Obama camp since it took over.
You may recall that before Justice dropped the charges against the Panther thugs, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. stated during his first major speech at the department, during Black History Month, "When it comes to race, [America] continues to be, in many ways, essentially a nation of cowards."
