NOAA reports that May, the period from March to May, and from January to May all have had the hottest combined global land and ocean surface temperatures since records began in 1880. May’s combined global land and ocean surface temperature was 0.69°C above the 20th century average of 14.8°C, with land temps being 1.04°C above the average. Ocean temperatures were the second warmest on record, coming in behind the 1998 record, with global ocean temps being 0.55°C above the average for the past century of 16.3°C.

Results 1 - 10 of about 414,000 for coldest June on record. (0.17 seconds) Just trying to understand why you would use record cold temperatures in some places as a rebuttal to global warming. Since nobody claims that record cold temperatures in some places are inconsistent with global warming, as best I can tell you have created a straw man. Now, if you want to look at a random sample of both land and ocean temperatures taken around the world over time, you would see a definite warming trend. But you would also see some periods of cooling mixed in. See below: LOL!!! Makes about as much sense as one believing that someone measured the average global land-ocean temperature in 1880. There is probably, at least, a half century worth garbage data in that graph. Silly extrapolations that have no more value than any guess from the dullest wits on the planet.

Possibly, but there's also half a century of good data showing rising temperatures, and we have data from the last 50 years or so showing rapidly rising CO2. you can: 1. deny the data 2. blame a conspiracy 3. find an alternative explanation for why the planet is warming 4. use straw-men to make silly arguments. 5. Accept that the planet is warming due to rising atmospheric CO2 :-)
