An IDF officer has been arrested on suspicion he attempted to seduce 4,000 underage girls, the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court cleared for publication Thursday. The officer denies the allegations, and the court has remanded his arrest by seven days.

Police say that over the past five years he has contacted thousands of girls, some of them under 14 years old, and succeeded in meeting with many of them.
Police say they hold the testimonies of a number of girls who reported meeting with Nahum, and that other complaints were forthcoming.
Nahum is suspected of developing a 16-year old persona online, called DNDman, and surfing young teens' forums in order to get in touch with the girls. He spoke to some of them about sex, and in some cases met with them and engaged in sexual relations.
The suspect will apparently face illicit sex charges rather than rape charges because the complainants are over the age of 14. Other charges will include sexual harassment of minors.
Superintendent Eyal Peer, who heads Tel Aviv Police's youth department, said the investigation was continuing and that police expected to come across more victims.
"It's just the tip of the iceberg. There are dozens, if not hundreds, of potential victims we are trying to get to," he said, adding that Nahum was not cooperating with investigators in the case.
"He's very cool, without a criminal record, used to commit the deeds in public places and made sure not to leave evidence behind. We hope the publicity will make more girls want to testify against him," he said.
But Nahum's attorney says he is denying the allegations. "Even if he had sat before the computer day and night he could not have reached the numbers he is accused of. Nothing happened that was not consensual," attorney Ahuva Friedman said.
