However, the AP reports that while Bentley joined the Air Force in 1969 his service was as the commander of the hospital at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina. So Brian, he wasn't a hospital commander during the Vietnam war who served with honesty and integrity??? This is an invented "controversy" in true Alinsky fashion. No sale. In fact, I read the article as saying that AP reported his ad to be correct. I'll bet there are a lot of Vietnam vets who appreciated very much the military hospitals they ended up staying in.
