As if BP didnt have enough trouble already, a complication in their efforts to contain the Gulf oil spill has hit a snag which complicates their dilemma. The containment cap which has been only partially successful in holding back the flow of oil, has now been removed. Apparently, a robot used in the containment attempt, collided with a venting system on Wednesday, forcing the removal of the cap that had been diverting a portion of the flow to a vessel above, containing some of the crude.
Also Wednesday, Coast Guard Admiral Thad Allen reported that two people associated with the spill cleanup effort, have died. Read more>>
