I have had a hunger to start a forum for quite some time, and your software is far better then any other open source offering out there. I've not released it for public use as of yet. I'm unsure if I'll go through with that, but I am hosting new forums myself at a cost I think is reasonable. (Pinguinite.com has info on that). Releasing to the public means creating an installation program and efficient upgrade system for remote users anytime there are changes and that's one of the reasons I'm in not so much of a hurry. I'm also uncertain of the financial benefit for me over just having my own forum shop, But I'm open to working with people to have it work with them in any particular arrangement. If a ton of people would want to run it themselves on their own servers, then I'll work in that direction. It's just a question of efficient economics. Forums I host are always running the latest and greatest without any special effort from me. If it's hosted remotely, I would probably need to be called in from time to time to fix things and/or do upgrades and stuff which I would bill for. Or if licensing would not be under GPL, but by fee then that's another thing, but being the lousy salesman than I am and always have been, I don't think attaching a price for it's use is something I can persue on any scale. It would be tough enough for a real salesman, I think. But if you're serious, send me a note and we'll talk.
