The Polls Missed Trump. We Asked Pollsters Why. Post Date: 2016-11-09 17:50:28 by ConservingFreedom

The polls missed Donald Trumps election. Individual polls missed, at the state level and nationally (though national polls werent far off). So did aggregated polls. So did poll-based forecasts such as ours. And so did exit polls. The miss wasnt unprecedented or even, these days, all that unusual. Polls have missed recent elections in the U.S. and abroad by margins at least as big. Every poll, and every prediction based on it, is probabilistic in nature: Theres always a chance the leader loses. And Clinton probably didnt even lose the national popular vote; she just didnt win it by as much as polls suggested. But Tuesdays miss was an important one ...
Fed up with Washington, Trump's 'deplorables' shake up the elite Post Date: 2016-11-09 16:58:59 by redleghunter

MIAMI/WASHINGTON, Nov 9 (Reuters) - Fed up with Washington and feeling left behind, supporters of Republican Donald Trump upended the U.S. presidential race, electing a political newcomer they say offers the country a shot at dramatic change. Once dismissed by Trump's Democratic rival Hillary Clinton as "deplorables," supporters interviewed on Tuesday shrugged off his late-night tweeted insults, allegations against him of sexual misconduct and dire warnings from many in the Republican establishment that the businessman-turned-reality-television-star would throw U.S. economic and foreign policy into disarray. The economy, terrorism and healthcare ranked as the top three ...
Our final map has Clinton winning with 352 electoral votes. Compare your picks with ours. Post Date: 2016-11-09 15:16:36 by misterwhite

We've updated our electoral map for the final time in this topsy-turvy campaign year. For this version, our goal was no toss-ups. We're giving you our best estimates, based on public polling, state vote histories and the reporting done by our campaign staff, on which way we think each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia will fall this year. The previous version of the map had five toss-up states. In the end, we're predicting that three of them -- North Carolina, Ohio and Arizona -- will go for Hillary Clinton. Iowa will go to Donald Trump, we expect. So will Utah, where independent candidate Evan McMullin has been threatening Trump, but seems likely to come up ...
Trump Won, and the Liberal Media LOST THEIR MINDS Post Date: 2016-11-09 13:03:31 by redleghunter

The front page of the left-leaning Huffington Post didnt shy away from what its publishers thought about Tuesdays election. Stark, bold letters emblazoned on HuffPo's homepage screamed, Mourning in America: NIGHTMARE: Prez Trump... America Elected A Man Who Said Grab Them By The Pu**y Over The First Female President... Party Ends In Tears... Poor HuffPo seemed downright stunned that any voter would choose Trump over Clinton and her history-making story arc. HuffPo was just one of a slew of liberal media outlets losing their minds over Republican presidential nominee and now President-electDonald Trumps victory over ...

We oppose everything By kos Wednesday Nov 09, 2016 · 10:01 AM CST When President Barack Obama was first elected, Republicans made no bones about their desire to obstruct absolutely everything on his agenda. They didnt even care if it was their own agenda. As soon as Obama adopted it, it was the second coming of communismfrom the Heritage-created, Mitt-Romney implemented Obamacare, to Republican James Comeys nomination to the FBI, to traditionally bipartisan transportation spending, to the Senates Gang of 8 immigration reform effort. Their obstruction became so blatant, they even refused to perform their Constitutional duty to advise and consent to Barack ...

I did - I got 5 to 1 odds and cleaned up. Not as good as the 25-1 odds I got when I bet on Holyfield to beat Tyson in '96, but I'm not complaining.Where are all the posers who were so sure he was going to win and didn't take advantage of it?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/503.php DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND [Captured 9 Nov 2016, 12:40 p.m.] Around 4:30pm on Tuesday November 8, Democratic Underground was hacked, apparently by a supporter of Donald Trump. This person clearly knew what they were doing, and despite our best efforts we have not yet been able to resolve the issues caused by the hack. We do not believe that any member data has been compromised. And we are confident that donor data has not been compromised because that information is handled by PayPal and never passes through to our servers. But at this time we are unable to bring our discussion forum online. The hack was clearly aimed to cause maximum ...

Pick a Peacemaker By Suzy Kassem November 08, 2016 "Information Clearing House" - To vastly improve your country and truly make it great again, start by choosing a better leader. Do not let the media or the establishment make you pick from the people they choose, but instead choose from those they do not pick. Pick a leader from among the people who is heart-driven, one who identifies with the common man on the street and understands what the country needs on every level. Do not pick a leader who is only money-driven and does not understand or identify with the common man, but only what corporations need on every level. Pick a peacemaker. One who unites, not divides. A cultured ...

Rigged election? Post Date: 2016-11-09 05:40:31 by interpreter

On a personal note, I am very glad that Trump won (and I have been predicting it for about a year now). And I campaigned very hard for Trump in recent days. But it took me 5 hours to cast my vote today, and I am not at all sure that my vote was actually counted. To make a long story short, I recently moved, about 30 days ago, from one city in Texas (Alvin) to another nearby city (League City). And it so happens that they are in two different counties. Anyhow I set out to cast my vote at 7AM and drove 15 miles to Alvin (where my driver's licence says I live) in order to cast my vote for Trump, and I planned to place phone calls to undecided voters in Florida the rest of the day, as I had ...

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina a onetime 2016 Republican presidential contender who often clashed with Republican nominee Donald Trump throughout the campaign voted for independent candidate Evan McMullin for president on Election Day. During a recent interview with Business Insider, Graham said he voted for the conservative McMullin, an ex-CIA operative and House Republican policy leader who entered the race in August. "Well, I voted for Evan," Graham said. "He shares my view of the world, he was on the ballot, and I couldn't go where Trump was taking the party, and I certainly couldn't go where Clinton is going to take the country ...

Pat Caddell told Breitbart News Daily SiriusXm host Alex Marlow Tuesday that he believes Donald Trump voters are much more motivated than Democratic nominee Hillary Clintons supporters. I think hell win todays voting by a large margin, added Caddell, while acknowledging that he could not predict if it would be enough to beat early voting totals in some areas. Monday, Caddell penned a column for Fox News, where he is a contributor, entitled The real election surprise? Two women, naked from the waist up, burst into a midtown Manhattan polling station early Tuesday, shouting: Out of our polls Trump, out of our polls Trump! The women were soon escorted out of the basement of P.S. 59 at 233 E. 56th Street, where Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is expected to vote later. The women wore jeans but no tops. One had the word Trump near her collarbone and the words Grab your balls scrawled on her belly. Police charged the two with electioneering (an activity prohibited under New York law that includes wearing badges and signs supporting a candidate to a polling place) and booked them at a local precinct. The ...

Trump or Hillary, they're ready for the chaos. In fact, business has never been better. WHITE PINE, Tenn.As Lucas Cameron sees it, theres no way this election can end well. Trump will win the popular vote by a landslide, and then the Electoral College will give it to Clinton, he told me as his wife, Nikki, drove us through the rolling mountains of northeast Tennessee. Their home-schooled 12-year-old son, Jonathon, sat in the back, sipping on a McDonalds drink, placidly gazing out the window as his father laid out some fairly terrifying scenarios. By spring, well be in a proxy war with Russia and going at it hard with Iran, Lucas said. ...
