Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published Saturday that his country will sit out the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius this July if Kyiv is not given a “signal” toward full membership in the alliance. Zelensky said he doesn’t expect Ukraine to be granted membership while fighting is ongoing but wanted a pledge the country would be admitted after the war. “If we are not given a signal in Vilnius, I believe there is no point for Ukraine to be at this summit,” he said. Not satisfied with FBI Director Christopher Wray’s response to his demand that the form that confirms Biden’s treason be released to his entire committee, James Comer is moving to issue contempt proceedings against him. There is a big push to implement wealth taxes, partly as a way of raising revenue, but mostly as a punitive measure to reduce inequality. In fact, our politicians have been refreshingly candid: The goal is to punish the rich, even if it harms the overall economy. This is pure naked economic puritanism, of the moralistic sort. A new poll released Tuesday shows that 49% of American voters would consider voting for a third-party candidate if President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are in a rematch in 2024, with most saying they'd choose Sen. A federal judge in Florida on Tuesday partially blocked the state from enforcing its recent ban on people under 18 receiving gender-transitiong care such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy, allowing three transgender children to continue with their treatment while he hears a lawsuit challenging the law. New York and New Jersey cover their states with gun-free zones to the point of making concealed carry impractical. Hawaii’s Legislature is now proposing to charge permit holders $1,000 in fees. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit heard appeals Tuesday of Connecticut girls who sued for being "consistently deprived of honors and opportunities to compete at elite levels" because of a state policy allowing boys who identify as girls to compete in girls' sports.
