I’m a Libertarian Man, and I Support Feminism. Post Date: 2017-02-15 06:21:28 by Gatlin

I want to discuss a topic that I feel all libertarians should be supporters of Feminism! Lets face it, libertarians need to stop being so freaking anti- feminist, once and for all; though I think most libertarians are pro-feminist deep down inside. Feminism in its original meaning is 100% a libertarian/capitalist movement. First off, lets just say why feminists in the original sense should hate government. Governments used to not allow women to own property or businesses of any kind. Literally setting it up so that (in many states) if a woman was married to a man, and didnt have a male son when the man died, she would likely be forced to give the ...

'She goes out and lies and you find out about those lies a couple hours later,' says Joe Scarborough. Kellyanne Conway has an on-air credibility crisis. On MSNBCs Morning Joe on Tuesday, co-anchor Mika Brzezinski declared that she will not interview her. Its giving people dishonesty, its not worth the interview, she said, as co-host Joe Scarborough added, She goes out and lies, and you find out about those lies a couple hours later. An anchor from a different network said Conway hasnt been invited on the anchor's show for months, saying the viewer gets nothing out of her because she ...

Here's a startling fact: There have been eight leaders of the British Labour Party in the past 40 years. Seven of them failed to win a single general election. The exception, Tony Blair, was a Labour politician only in the most technical sense. Leftists saw him as a disguised conservative, a cuckoo in the nest. To this day, Labour activists use "Blairite" as the worst of insults, viler even than "Tory." Let's widen the camera shot a little. All over Europe, traditional parties of the Center-Left have been losing badly. As I write, opinion polls show the French Socialists in fourth place, the Dutch Labour Party in seventh. Greece's PASOK, the leading party ...

New Miami, OH Take away the political corruption, bribery scandals, increased accidents, and police state issues with Red Light Cameras and we are still left with a system that is rooted in the removal of due process. After the corporatist red light camera industry spread through the nation like a cancer for more than a decade, people are finally beginning to realize their inherently despotic nature. After they woke up to the fact that their due process had been entirely removed by Optotraffic a private vendor allowed to extort citizens with the blessing of New Miami politicians the people fought back in the form of a class action lawsuit. As the Newspaper reports, ...

Kellyanne Conway got more than she bargained for this morning during an appearance on the NBC TODAY Show, getting hammered by anchor Matt Lauer over several inconsistencies stemming from General Michael Flynn, the former National Security Advisor who officially resigned late Monday night. While Conway attempted to explain away her previous comments that Flynn had the full confidence of the President, Lauer pointed out her timeline of the events dont add up. Youre saying that was the straw that broke the camels back, Lauer said regarding Flynns intentional misleading of Vice President Mike Pence over phone calls Flynn made in December to a ...

To those who lived through that era that tore us apart in the 60s and 70s, it is starting to look like deja vu all over again. And as Adlai Stevenson, Bobby Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey did then, Democrats today like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi are pandering to the hell-raisers, hoping to ride their energy to victory. Democrats would do well to recall what happened the last time they rode the tiger of social revolution. As the riots began in Harlem in 1964 and Watts in 1965, liberals rushed to render moral sanction and to identify with the rioters. In the great struggle to advance civil and human rights, said Adlai at Colby College, even a ...

George Zimmer is lending his iconic, gravelly voice to the marijuana legalization movement. therichest.org George Zimmer has a penchant for speaking his mind. The 68-year-old serial entrepreneur was fired from Men's Wearhouse, the company he founded 40 years earlier, in 2013 over differences with the company's board. "You know, one of the very small reasons and I say small would be that I tended to be kind of a renegade or somebody who said what he thought," Zimmer told Business Insider about his firing. "That made the board of directors increasingly uncomfortable." Zimmer has since launched a tuxedo rental company, Generation Tux, ...

So
what? The federal government is all shiny, happy politicians now? I suppose all the federal alphabet soups will lay down their arms and all those federal laws they enforce will suddenly become null and void? Oh, and the Pentagon will have to have a yard sale when they want a new trillion dollars worth of weapons? Lets not forget the great work being done on cutting taxes right now, right? No, I dont think so. This is the same government, its just some people have the same swoon going on that some people had over Obama in 2009. No, hes an outsider! Hes different! Uh-huh. Heard that about Reagan, too. But he was a good actor and this ...

A proposal to categorize attacks on Chicago police officers as hate crimes has stalled in the City Council. CHICAGO After calling out rising crime in Chicago six times since taking office, President Donald Trump moved to make assaulting a police officer a federal crime. In a series of executive orders signed by the president just after former Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions was sworn in as attorney general, Trump ordered his new top law enforcement officer to figure out how to use federal laws to "prosecute individuals who commit or attempt to commit crimes of violence against ... law enforcement officers." In Chicago, a similar proposal known as the "Blue Lives ...

Donald Trump was elected president while employing white supremacist, anti-immigrant, and anti-Muslim rhetoric. Now the U.S. executive branch is actively seeking to reduce federal efforts to fight right-wing extremism by removing white supremacist groups from U.S. government countering violent extremism (CVE) programs.Earlier this month, the Trump administration proposed it would repurpose the Countering Violent Extremism task force to focus only on Islamic extremists, considering renaming it Countering Radical Islamic Extremism or Countering Islamic Extremism. Its hard not to see the hand of Steve Bannonthe White House chief strategist and senior ...

Illinois Senator Stephen Douglas, one of the architects of the Compromise of 1850, proposed to organize governments for two new territories that belonged to the Louisiana Purchase Lands, Kansas and Nebraska. His motivation had political and economical roots. He had envisioned a transcontinental railroad crossing the country west to east with Illinois, his state, as the eastern terminal. He needed the support of the south. And because the territory was above the 36Ú30 line of the 1820 Missouri Compromise, the bill would open up territory not previously available to slavery. The bill was approved and signed by President Franklin Pierce. The Kansas-Nebraska Act drew new borders ...

A war undertaken and brazenly carried for the perpetual enslavement of the colored men, calls logically and loudly for the colored men to help suppress it. Growing political tensions over the spread of slavery started a decade before the beginning of the war. As a preamble to the Civil War, between 1854 and 1861, there were a series of violent political confrontations known as Bloody Kansas or Bleeding Kansas as a result of the Kansas-Nebraska Act. The conflict arouse primarily on the subject of Kansas being accepted into the Union as a slave-free or slave state. The election of Abraham Lincoln as president in 1860 and the of Republican Partys determination to stop the ...

LAKELAND (FOX 13) - An unemployed Polk County man admitted to making $7 billion in fraudulent online payments, but said he did it because Jesus Christ created wealth for him, according to court records. Investigators interviewed John Michael Haskew in December after a payment processing company noticed large payments being made to a bank account from a "large, nationally renowned financial institution." Those payments totaled around $7 billion, which were paid to the account over a two-day period. Detectives tracked Haskew using the IP address, which was linked to the account with the payment processing company, to his home in Lakeland. Haskew told investigators he was ...

So its not just enforcing immigration laws that is racist today. Now, even the distinction between citizen and non-citizen has become offensive. The battle now is not just to preserve President Trumps travel ban from the attacks of so-called judges, to adapt his entirely accurate description, and the Official Opposition/Main Stream Media. Its about preserving the existence of the nation itself. MSM enforcers, few of whom have ever read a book other than Harry Potter, cheered President Trumps defeat in the courts as a defeat for the president they despise and are openly trying to unseat. But their simplistic coverage concealed the ...

Who was Frederick Douglass? More importantly, why does Frederick Douglass matter to todays America? The above questions are not merely rhetorical, as the recent controversy surrounding President Trumps Black History Month statement illustrate. Frederick Douglass, Trump said, is an example of somebody whos done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more, I notice. The mainstream media have caste Trumps curious mixture of both past and present tenses whos done (past) vs. is being recognized (present) - as an incongruous construction at best, and at worst as a clueless invocation of one of ...

In the highly contentious battle to extinguish public worker rights, Iowa Republicans have attempted a divide-and-conquer approach to pit unions against each other. Their legislation splits public workers into two groups, one thats public safety workers, and one that isnt. The idea was to strip away nearly all collective bargaining rights from most public employees, but keep most of it for police and firefighters, who are politically more difficult to go after. It didnt work. Hundreds of helmeted firefighters have flooded the Statehouse in the last week and police officers and sheriffs have lined up at committee hearings to speak against it. They ...

You wonder how that could be when one out of three working-age Americans, 90 million souls, are out of work. The War on Some Drugs Post Date: 2017-02-13 10:46:06 by Deckard

Drugs are a charged subject everywhere. Longtime readers know that although I personally abstain from drugs and generally eschew the company of users, I think they should be 100% legal. Few people consider how arbitrary the current prohibition is; up until the 1920s, heroin and cocaine were both perfectly legal and easily obtainable over the counter. Some people abused them, just like some today abuse fat and sugar (because theyre enjoyable). But drugs are no more of a problem than anything else; life is full of problems. In fact, life isnt just full of problems; life is problems. What is a problem? Its simply the situation of having to ...
