In Trump’s America, Is This The End Of George Will? Post Date: 2017-03-10 13:56:16 by nativist nationalist

George Will, now 75, lost his job as a political commentator on Fox News, in favor of the pro-Trump Nigel Farage, soon after Donald Trump was elected [Fox Declines To Renew George Wills Contract by Katherine Rodriguez, Breitbart, January 21, 2017]. To paraphrase Edmund G. Robinsons famous line: Is this the end of George Will? Sam Francis once said no conservative pundit had made it quite like George Will [The Case of George Will, Radix, June 25, 2016]. His column was syndicated to some 450 newspapers; he has long been a regular presence on television, earned a small fortune on the lecture circuit, and has a closetful of honorary degrees. In 1986, the Wall Street ...

Lee County, AL Fear, cowardice, dread, hate training one or more of these traits are present more often than not when a police officer shoots an unarmed person. And, in the dashcam video below, that assertion becomes apparent as Opelika police officer Phillip Hancock shot Airman Michael Davidson for no reason other than fear. The incident happened on March 6, 2014, however, the dashcam was kept secret until a little more than three years to the date after the shooting. Hancock was responding to a minor accident in which Davidson had swiped the back of a tractor trailer and both parties were waiting for police to arrive after they had exchanged information. When Hancock ...

Madison County, GA In spite of their best and most tyrannical intentions, the police state is losing the information war in regards to the war on drugs. No longer do the majority of Americans buy into the reefer madness that was used for decades to wage a racist and vile campaign that destroyed everything it touched. However, in spite of the fact that they are losing the information war, the dinosaur drug warriors continue to charge on after all, their paychecks and pensions depend on it. A recent Facebook post this week, by the Madison County Sheriffs Office, highlights the utter failure that is the war on drugs. On Sunday morning, the department took to social media to ...

Samantha Bee show implies man with brain cancer is a Nazi because of hair cut The late night leftist comedienne offers a non-apology apology on Twitter Samantha Bee went just a tad too far recently on her #Late Night show on TBS and implied that a young man with stage 4 brain cancer has a Nazi haircut which is to say clipped short on the sides and kept longish up top. The slam took place on a snarky segment about CPAC where Bees correspondent went to the convention and make snide comments. The young man in question is Kyle Coddington, seen working on a laptop. Coddington writes for an online magazine called Onset. He was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain stem ...

President Donald Trump's daughter and son-in-law are renting a house from the Chilean family that owns the Twin Metals copper mining project proposed near Ely, according to a report Wednesday in the Wall Street Journal. The report said Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are renting a Washington home owned by Chilean billionaire Andronico Luksic, whose family controls Antofagasta, the Chilean global mining giant that owns a 100 percent interest in the Twin Metals project. The ties come just as Twin Metals is suing the U.S. government to overturn a moratorium on access to U.S. Forest Service land where it wants to mine near the Kawishiwi River and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. ...

DADE CITY Right about the time that Curtis Reeves drew a pistol and shot Chad Oulson in the chest, killing him, three different people heard Reeves say something about popcorn."Throw popcorn in my face," was what Mark Turner, a retired Air Force officer, recalled hearing from his spot at the end of Reeves' row inside Cobb Grove 16 cinemas three years ago. Charles Cummings, one row down from Reeves, heard the popcorn comment, too. So did Derek Friedhoff, a few rows down. He said it was prefaced by "show you" or "teach you." A surveillance video from the theater had captured Oulson's arm grabbing Reeves' bag of popcorn and tossing it at him ...

Might Be the Weakest Secretary of State Ever Post Date: 2017-03-10 10:46:38 by Willie Green

There are five avenues to power at Foggy Bottom, and theyre all blocked to the current man in charge. While much of Americas political class is transfixed by the debate about connections between Russia and the White House, a quieter but perhaps more consequential drama is playing out at Foggy Bottom. It concerns the startling diminution of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and perhaps the entire department that he heads. Normally the most important position in the cabinet, the secretary of state has had little impact on the Trump administration so far. And, if anything, his role appears headed for further decline. The secretary of state draws his or her power less from the ...

The February jobs report is out and its a beat. In February, the U.S. economy added 235,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 4.7%. Economists were looking for payrolls to rise by 200,000 with the unemployment rate dropping to 4.7%. Earnings figures in February were also positive with average hourly earnings rising 0.2% over the prior month and 2.8% over the prior year. Januarys earnings figures were also revised up to show wages grew 2.8% over last year, more than the 2.5% that had been reported. This report, as markets had expected, likely clears the way for a rate hike from the Federal Reserve next week. Elsewhere in the report, we saw the labor force participation ...

Why did Russian kleptocrat pay so much for mansion owned by Trump? Post Date: 2017-03-10 09:39:21 by Willie Green

PALM BEACH Why did a Russian oligarch pay now-President Donald Trump $95 million for his Palm Beach mansion? Almost a decade later, the answer is less clear than it was at the time of the sale, the largest price paid for a Palm Beach home. In 2008, Dmitry Rybolovlev bought the Palm Beach mansion owned by Trump for $13 million more than the most expensive Palm Beach mansion sale up to that moment. It's been almost a decade since the sale, but the transaction is newsworthy again as new questions surround contacts between members of Trump's administration and Russian government officials. Last week, a Rybolovlev spokesman said his client, who made his fortune in fertilizer ...

President Trumps assertion that his phones at Trump Tower were tapped last year has been treated as hilariousand in some circles as beyond contempt. But I can vouch for the fact that extracurricular surveillance does occur, regardless of whether it is officially approved. I was wiretapped in 2011 after taking a phone call in my congressional office from a foreign leader. That a secret recording had been made of this call was revealed to me by the Washington Times in 2015, a full two years after I left office. The newspapers investigative reporters called me, saying they had obtained a tape of a sensitive telephone conversation that they wanted me to verify. When I met ...

The text of Republican health care reform bill to replace Obamacare was released Monday night. Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump offered a full-throated endorsement of the legislation put forward by House Republican leadership. The bill is out for review, President Trump tweeted. Well, the CR review is in, and the bill is terrible. For the last six years, the primary complaints of Republicans against Obamacare were the unconstitutional individual mandate and the insurance regulations that are driving up the cost of premiums. Neither of those problems are addressed in the RINOcare bill. A Republican version of the individual mandate remains in place to penalize ...
Supreme Court Won't Hear Case, But Justice Thomas Questions Constitutionality Of Asset Forfeiture Post Date: 2017-03-09 13:58:07 by Deckard

from the about-freaking-time dept We've been writing about the sheer insanity of asset forfeiture for many, many years. If you happen to have missed it, civil asset forfeiture is the process by which the government can just take your stuff by arguing that it must have been the proceeds of criminal activity. They literally file a lawsuit against your stuff, not you. And, here's the real kicker: in most places, they never have to file any lawsuits about the actual crime, let alone get a conviction. They just get to take your stuff, say that it must have been the proceeds of a crime, and unless you go through the insanely expensive and burdensome process of demanding it back, they ...
Trump Administration Wants A Clean Reauthorization For NSA Surveillance Post Date: 2017-03-09 13:52:37 by Deckard

Considering the new administration has stepped up its ousting of immigrants, expressed its disinterest in pursuing civil rights investigations of the nation's law enforcement agencies, applauded asset forfeiture, and declared war on leakers, it comes as no surprise the White House supports a clean reauthorization of Section 702 surveillance. The Trump administration does not want to reform an internet surveillance law to address privacy concerns, a White House official told Reuters on Wednesday, saying it is needed to protect national security. The announcement could put President Donald Trump on a collision course with Congress, where some Republicans and Democrats have advocated ...

US Representative Tulsi Gabbard is proving to be quite the thorn in the side of the establishment warmongers. In January, Gabbard went on a secret trip to Syria to investigate first hand and to find the truth that the corporate media is covering up about the Syrian war. Since then, this brave congresswoman has remained steadfast in her mission to show Americans how their tax dollars are funding terrorism in the Middle East. In a press conference last week, Gabbard called on President Trump to end the regime change in Syria, adding that this is what is causing the refugee crisis. The most important question is, how do we address the cause of these people fleeing their ...
U.S. Drone Strikes Have Gone Up 432% Since Trump Took Office Post Date: 2017-03-09 13:34:14 by Deckard

By Carey Wedler When he was in office, former President Barack Obama earned the ire of anti-war activists for his expansion of Bushs drone wars. The Nobel Peace Prize-winning head of state ordered ten times more drone strikes than the previous president, and estimates late in Obamas presidency showed 49 out of 50 victims were civilians. In 2015, it was reported that up to 90% of drone casualties were not the intended targets. Current President Donald Trump campaigned on a less interventionist foreign policy, claiming to be opposed to nation-building and misguided invasions. But less than two months into his presidency, Trump has expanded the drone strikes that plagued ...
Follow the Money: Senator John McCain’s Ties to Saudis and Rothschilds EXPOSED Post Date: 2017-03-09 13:26:27 by Deckard

Charitable institutions (like The Clinton Foundation), as Judge Jeanine Pirro has stated publicly, often serve as a slush fund for those whose name the institution bears. Pirro called the Clintons foundation nothing more than a money laundering operation used as a slush fund. Now, it seems, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and his institution are coming under fire for contributions it has been receiving from the Rothschild family, a controversial global mining company, and the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia. Accusations of financial impropriety first arose back in 2008, when The Guardian first ran the story. McCain was traveling through the UK, and made a stop at ...
Ron Paul Just Destroyed TSA in Epic Rant Every American Should Hear Post Date: 2017-03-09 13:17:03 by Deckard

Ron Paul, a staunch proponent of privacy and civil liberties, wasted no time in condemning the Transportation Security Administrations new patdown policy in a scathing video released on Tuesday. While his criticisms of the TSA are nothing new, Paul proves once again that he remains the most steadfast opponent to the agencys controversial practice of body scans and patdowns that have led to substantial inconvenience and humiliation of travelers. Previously, the TSAs patdown policy allowed for five types of procedures. Their new procedures do away with those different options in favor of one, all-encompassing and remarkably more thorough patdown. The new ...
