The lead chart shows CPI inflation cooled from 9.1 percent to 4.0 percent. Core CPI inflation, excluding food and energy only decline modestly, from 6.6 percent to 5.3 percent. Robert Bowers was found guilty by a jury on all charges Friday after he went to a Jewish synagogue in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and shot 11 people to death in 2018, according to ABC News. Bowers tried to negotiate with prosecutors to take the death penalty off the table if he pleaded guilty but was denied, according to ABC News.
