EDGECLIFF VILLAGE, Texas - A teacher at North Crowley High School was arrested over the weekend after confessing that he killed his wife. The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Department said 47-year-old Michelle Johnson’s body was found inside her home on Cliffside Drive in Edgecliff Village on Saturday. Edgecliff Village is south of Fort Worth. Johnson’s husband, 35-year-old Sean Johnson, reportedly called 911 around 4 p.m. He told the dispatch officer that he had shot his wife and was pulling into a church parking lot to surrender. Johnson had blood on his hands when he was arrested, the sheriff’s department said. Deputies went to the home, found the victim's body with ...

Republicans exempt their own insurance from their latest health care proposal

Republican legislators want to keep popular Obamacare provisions for themselves and their staff. House Republicans appear to have included a provision that exempts Members of Congress and their staff from their latest health care plan. The new Republican amendment, introduced Tuesday night, would allow states to waive out of Obamacare’s ban on pre-existing conditions. This means that insurers could once again, under certain circumstances, charge sick people higher premiums than healthy people. Republican legislators liked this policy well enough to offer it in a new amendment. They do not, however, seem to like it enough to have it apply to themselves and their staff. A ...

Full-scale terror exercise in D.C. and surrounding areas Wednesday, entire Senate summoned to White House

It looks like it all may be coming to a head Wednesday, too many coincidences to be nothing WASHINGTON (INTELLIHUB) — The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) is conducting a last-minute full-scale terror exercise in the Capitol region on Wednesday which is the same day that 100 Senators are summoned to the White House to reportedly discuss the North Korean situation. However, it’s obvious that between this week’s Operation Gotham Shield exercise in New York and New Jersey, the COG exercise in Washington Wednesday, and the fact that the entire Senate is heading into the White House Wednesday to convene in what has been described as an “unusual” ...

It's Time for Everyone to Admit That Ivanka Trump Is Probably Evil

The Trump Age is the age of soft illusions. And Ivanka Trump is the crown jewelWe take no pleasure in typing this internet article, but the evidence doesn't lie: Ivanka Trump is almost certainly a Moloch-worshipping weirdo who is going to get us all killed — or worse, force us to buy her dumb clothes.  With the ascendance of public relations, glossy magazines specifically designed to murder brain cells, and cosmetic dentistry, we inhabit a world that delights in self-soothing images and scorns anything that might unsettle our McDonald's-filled stomachs.  In this context, Ivanka Trump is Peak Photoshop — she's a manufactured image of human ...

First of Its Kind Study Finds Cannabis May Be a “Miracle” Treatment for Autistic Kids

Autism could now be added to the lengthy and perpetually-expanding list of afflictions and symptoms treatable with the one product of nature shamefully prohibited by the federal government — the “miracle” palliative, cannabis. One in every 68 children in the United States is now affected by autism, and the number of kids coping with the developmental disorder has been increasing at an explosive rate in recent years. With onset most common during infancy and early childhood, autism can impact social and communication skills and may cause repetitive or compulsive behaviors, among other manifestations. Now, fresh evidence again frowns upon U.S. federal prohibition of cannabis ...

Polls Show No Regrets: 96 Percent of Trump Voters Stand By Their Decision

As President Trump closes in on 100 days in office, an overwhelming majority of Americans who voted for him say they don't regret doing so. In a new ABC News-Washington Post poll, 96 percent of Trump voters say supporting the former New York businessman was the right thing to do, while only 2 percent regret their vote. That poll contrasts with the president's current approval rating, which sits around 42 percent. On "Fox & Friends Weekend," Connell McShane said the wide difference shows voters are willing to give Trump more time to get his agenda through.

A middle school teacher who doubles as a soccer coach was arrested after police in Georgia raided her home and found $6.2 million in cocaine and heroin, reports KTLA sister station Fox 5. Karla Alvarez, 28, and two others face drug trafficking and gun charges following Thursday’s arrest. Hall County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Scott Ware told reporters that police “got information that there was probably a substantial amount” of drugs in the house in Oakwood and obtained a search warrant, the Gainesville Times reports. They reportedly found 61 kilos of coke, a kilo of heroin, and two semi-automatic assault rifles. “I’ve worked drugs and gangs for a long time and ...

Polls Show Record Number of Americans Want More Government Intervention and Spending
Post Date: 2017-04-26 09:35:13 by Deckard

Isn’t it interesting how, no matter which political party is in charge, the government continues to grow? This is especially puzzling, since Republican voters and politicians are supposedly supportive of small government. You’d think that the size of the government would ebb and flow over time, as Democrats increase spending and Republicans roll back government growth when they get into office. However, that never happens, and there’s a very simple reason why. On Sunday, an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll showed that 57% of Americans wanted the government to do more to solve problems, which is the most support for government intervention since the poll began in 1995. That ...

Illegal Math? State Board in Oregon Fines Man $500 For Talking About Traffic Lights and Other "Engineering Topics"

Running red lights can get you a ticket. But in Oregon, you can be fined just for talking about it. Mats Järlström learned this first-hand last year when the state of Oregon fined him $500 for publicly suggesting that yellow lights should last for slightly longer to accommodate cars making right turns. Mats is a tinkerer. In the great tradition of American inventors and scientists who got their start working in their garage or basement, Mats saw a problem and set out to fix it—that is, until the Oregon State Board of Examiners for Engineering and Land Surveying brought everything to a screeching halt. It all started when Mats’s wife received a red-light camera ticket, ...

Caitlyn Jenner: Donald Trump ‘Has Disappointed Me’ On LGBT Issues

Caitlyn Jenner said Donald Trump has proved to be a disappointing president when it comes to LGBT issues. “He looked like he would be pretty good on all LGBT issues, which is important because my loyalties do no lie with Donald Trump,” Jenner said during an interview on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Monday. “My loyalties do not lie with the Republican party. My loyalties and what I’m fighting for is my community — the LGBT community. That’s where my fight is.” “I thought Trump would be pretty good, but he’s disappointed me in the first 100 days on those issues.” Carlson why Jenner didn’t just vote for Hillary Clinton, “who ...

AFTER FOUR ARRESTS, RAINES HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER SUSPENDED PENDING TERMINATION

Jacksonville, FL - A Raines High School teacher has been fired after multiple arrests and “excessive” unauthorized leave without pay. Jason Perry has been arrested four times over roughly the past two year, with the DCPS investigation starting from the most recent incident. The School Board voted Tuesday night to suspend Perry without pay pending termination. In March 2015, the DCPS investigation says Perry was arrested by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office for making repeated harassing phone calls, which is a misdemeanor charge. Perry entered into a Pre-Trial Intervention Program on the charge, while also paying court costs and fines. The District administered a written ...

'Don't shoot me': Video shows police stop 5 black youths at gunpoint

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - Video footage released by the Grand Rapids Police Department shows at least eight officers responded to detain five unarmed black youths March 24 after a report of a fight at basketball courts nearby. The videos show one of the detained youths wailing and crying as he lay on the ground with his hands stretched above his head. Officers drew their weapons on the youths because they had received a report that one of them might be armed. "Can you please put the gun down?" one of the boys asked. Another youth is heard saying, "I do not want to die, bro." The youths try to tell the officers that they have video on their phones of what happened, as one ...

Americans’ Loss of Citizenship

Now that we see that Donald Trump is going to abandon the platform on which he won his election, and return the Republican Party to its establishmentarian—globalist, neo-conservative—ways, we are once again given proof of the fundamental loss of citizenship in this nation. The people, the supposed citizens—even those who vote—have no real influence over the candidates they put in office.  It is for certain that they elected Trump with the idea that he would keep us out of foreign wars, maybe even out of NATO and Japan,  that he would get rid of Obamacare (and no one said he had to fix it), that he would abolish the Ex-Im Bank, that he would in short undo the ...

Slain teacher partied with pals before breaking into wrong home

The man who was fatally shot by a homeowner as he showered may have been “confused” after hitting several bars with friends — and possibly thought he had returned to his friend’s house just two doors down from the home he entered. The fatal shooting early Saturday in Belfair, Washington, may be a case of “wrong place, wrong time,” Mason County Prosecutor Michael Dorcy told KING5. Dorcy said investigators have learned that Nathaniel Rosa, 31, visited some bars in Belfair on Friday with several friends, one of whom was about to be deployed to Afghanistan. Those friends reported that Rosa, an elementary school teacher, then went to one of their homes, just two ...

Gaithersburg, MD — Guns Loaded? Check… Extra Ammunition? Check… Bullet-proof protective vests? Check… Right home address? Uh oh! In yet another SWAT Team flub, a home has been raided, and its occupants beaten. However, once again, the police went to the wrong address. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Gaithersburg admits they got it all wrong when they burst into Israel Orellana’s home in Montgomery County. Orellana has the same name as the man police were searching for in a gun theft case. But still, incredibly, Carroll County got a warrant to search the wrong address. Worse yet, the group of people gathered in the home were church goers who were ...

JUDGE BLOCKS TRUMP ORDER ON SANCTUARY CITY FUNDING

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- A federal judge on Tuesday blocked any attempt by the Trump administration to withhold funding from "sanctuary cities" that do not cooperate with U.S. immigration authorities, saying the president has no authority to attach new conditions to federal spending. U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the preliminary injunction in two lawsuits - one brought by the city of San Francisco, the other by Santa Clara County - against an executive order targeting communities that protect immigrants from deportation. The injunction will stay in place while the lawsuits work their way through court. The judge said that President Donald Trump cannot set new ...

New Orleans Is Wrong To Remove Its Confederate MonumentsThe progressive impulse to purge public spaces of Confederate monuments isn’t about inclusion and tolerance, it’s about politics and power. In the early morning hours of Monday, masked men in black bulletproof vests gathered at the Battle of Liberty Place in downtown New Orleans. They arrived in flatbed trucks, the name of the company on the trucks’ sides concealed by tape and cardboard. Snipers took up positions on nearby rooftops. This wasn’t the scene of a bank heist or a mob hit. The snipers were New Orleans police, and the workers were under contract with the city. They were there to tear down a 126-year-old ...

Caitlyn Jenner Talks with Tucker Carlson About Trump and Why She’s Not a Democrat

For his first show in the 8 pm time slot, Tucker Carlson spoke with Caitlyn Jenner tonight in an interview that touched on everything from President Trump to her personal journey. Jenner again brought up her disappointment with the president for not doing more to take a stand on LGBT rights. However, she’s still a conservative Republican, and Carlson asked her why she didn’t vote for Hillary Clinton in the last election since she was clearly more pro-LGBT rights. Jenner said that she’s not a one-issue voter and thinks it would be much easier to try and push the GOP to be better on LGBT issues than to try and push the Democrats to do things like lower taxes. Carlson asked ...

For the French establishment, Sunday’s presidential election came close to a near-death experience. As the Duke of Wellington said of Waterloo, it was a “damn near-run thing.” Neither candidate of the two major parties that have ruled France since Charles De Gaulle even made it into the runoff, an astonishing repudiation of France’s national elite. Marine Le Pen of the National Front ran second with 21.5 percent of the vote. Emmanuel Macron of the new party En Marche! won 23.8 percent. Macron is a heavy favorite on May 7. The Republicans’ Francois Fillon, who got 20 percent, and the Socialists’ Benoit Hamon, who got less than 7 percent, both have urged their ...

Republican Candidate Opposed to Gun Registry Made Millions With Company Slated to Build Gun Registry

“Your name, your address, your guns — in a big government computer,” the narrator of Montana Republican congressional candidate Greg Gianforte’s TV ad says as a computer screen shows an imaginary “national gun registry.” Then Gianforte, declaring his support for the Second Amendment, raises a rifle and shoots the computer screen to bits. The ad is the latest in a long tradition of candidates shooting objects in campaign commercials. Gianforte, who will face Democrat Rob Quist in a May 25 special election for the Montana at-large congressional seat, claims Quist supports such a registry. Quist did ...

She's Back: Hillary Clinton's Last 100 Days
Post Date: 2017-04-25 10:21:23 by HomerBohn

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton planned an aggressive push on a dozen policies for her first 100 days in the White House, including raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure, and reforming the nation's immigration system. But following her stunning Electoral College defeat on November 8, the Democratic nominee faced her first truly retired days in decades — and the prospect of a wildly different presidency than the one she had promised. After conceding to Donald Trump in a gracious speech, Clinton tried to lay low. But she and a neighbor in New York, who said she was "heartbroken" after the election, had the same idea on November 10: A ...

Cops Detain Entire School, Illegally Search/Grope 900 Kids — Find NOTHING, Parents Furious [Full Thread]

Worth County, GA — Children feel violated, parents are furious, and a lawsuit is getting filed after the Worth County Sheriff’s office conducted an illegal search of 900 students — in the name of the war on drugs. The rights-violating intrusive and aggressive patdowns and drug dog searches yielded absolutely nothing. On April 14, when the students of Worth County High School returned from spring break, they arrived at school to find a police state had taken over. The sheriff and his deputies — with no probable cause — detained and illegally searched every single child in the school, all 900 of them. When kids went home that day to tell their parents what happened, ...

A federal judge declared a mistrial Monday after jurors deadlocked in the case of six men accused of taking up arms against federal agents during the Bundy Ranch standoff in 2014. Jurors convicted two defendants on multiple counts but could not reach a unanimous verdict against four others. Jurors told lawyers after court Monday they never came close to convicting four defendants, voting 10-2 in favor of acquitting two and splitting on the others, according to one of the defense lawyers.   Moreover, jurors did not find any of the six defendants guilty on the two main conspiracy charges that made up the core of the government’s case, dealing a blow to federal prosecutors who ...
