There are scores of cars and trucks with water up to their windows and in some cases over the hood and roof. In fact, the flooding is so extensive, Cox Automotive estimates a half-million vehicles may wind up in the scrap yard. A woman who was rescued from Hurricane Harvey after 36 hours went off on CNN for trying to interview her on camera while she was with her children. The mother began the interview by explaining how long she had to wait to be rescued, but was becoming visibly upset and anxious by having to share her story to the CNN correspondent. But a greater gator problem may soon face the city of Beaumont if water levels continue to rise. A popular alligator theme park says that flood waters are dangerously close to exceeding the height of fences that are keeping hundreds of the reptiles inside their enclosures.
