Good Cop Exposes How Nurse Arrest Was Inevitable, SLC Police Forced to Make 5 Arrests a Day
Post Date: 2017-09-06 15:07:22 by Deckard

Salt Lake City, UT — Last week, the world was exposed to the face of tyranny as they watched the body camera video of Detective Jeff Payne arrest Nurse Alex Wubbels for refusing to violate the law and warrantlessly draw blood from an unconscious crash victim. Police apologists were speechless and were unable to justify this cop’s abusive behavior caught on video. Now, as news of the arrest continues to spread, even police are coming forward to expose, what one whistleblower is referring to as “ongoing failure at the highest levels” of police. When good cops sit back and do nothing as bad cops lay waste to the rights of innocent citizens, those good cops become bad ones. ...

Govt’s Own Study Shows Legal Weed Reducing Teen Pot Use, Convictions, & Addiction

It has been just over three years since the State of Washington approved marijuana sales for recreational use. And despite the naysayers’ cries the sky would fall after Washington decriminalized weed, according to a new report, not only has cannabis use among teenagers and kids fallen, but so have admissions to treatment centers and misdemeanor pot convictions. The Washington State Institute for Public Policy commissioned the study. It found that pot use among teens fell from 20 percent in 2010, to just 17 percent in 2016. The survey asked nearly 11,000 high school sophomores if they’d consumed cannabis within the last month. The results indicate not only are fewer teens ...

Infowars Reporter Owen Shroyer Makes Trump Protesters Cry

Infowars reporter Owen Shroyer asks some teenage girls at an anti-Trump rally to justify their beliefs, one responds by having an emotional breakdown and crying. This is what Pavlovian conditioning by the media and public school system can create. Incidentally, note how the Latina girl in the "Latina Power" shirt says she's there representing "brown power," then immediately says how horrible it is that Nazis are advocating white power. Libs have zero self-awareness.

‘Ecosexual’ professor spurs movement: Have sex with Earth to save it

Earth as lover, not mother  Four years ago, when art Professor Elizabeth Stephens filmed the documentary “Ecosexual Love Story,” in which she and her partner licked trees, played with mud, and made love with the environment while naked, the term “ecosexuality” was still somewhat unknown. But a lot has happened since then, and ecosexuality isn’t such a mystery anymore — Google trends show interest in the term has increased exponentially over the last 12 months, seemingly exploding. That interest can be traced in part back to Stephens, a UC Santa Cruz professor and one leader in the movement that melds art, sex and environmentalism, a la having ...

“The Fourth Amendment was designed to stand between us and arbitrary governmental authority. For all practical purposes, that shield has been shattered, leaving our liberty and personal integrity subject to the whim of every cop on the beat, trooper on the highway and jail official.”—Herman Schwartz, The Nation Our freedoms—especially the Fourth Amendment—are being choked out by a prevailing view among government bureaucrats that they have the right to search, seize, strip, scan, shoot, spy on, probe, pat down, taser, and arrest any individual at any time and for the slightest provocation. Wisconsin Moves to Be First State Ever to Nullify Federal Cannabis Prohibition Through Legislation

Madison, WI – Yet another state is moving towards legalizing cannabis for medical and recreational use. However, Wisconsin is going about it in a most Constitutional way. The state of Wisconsin introduced a bill last week that would effectively nullify the federal prohibition of marijuana in the state. According to the 10th Amendment Center: “Rep. Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) and 17 co-sponsors introduced Assembly Bill 482 (AB482) on Aug. 24. The legislation would legalize marijuana under a tax-and-regulate system enforced at the state level similar to alcohol. Under the proposed law, a Wisconsin resident who is at least 21 could legally possess no more than two ounces of marijuana ...

Hemp Comes Home (Legal hemp has returned to Kentucky. Will the Feds step aside and let the industry flourish?)

In a former tobacco warehouse in Kentucky's horse country, a silver-haired seventh-generation hemp farmer sits with his business partners. As Andrew Graves, the chairman of Atalo Holdings, leads a discussion of seed varietals and soil consistencies, the group snacks on hemp nuts, grabbed in handfuls from a sack. In the warren of rooms just behind them, oils drip from stills as lab techs figure out formulas for supplements and vapors. No one in the room is younger than 50. No one talks about marijuana, and honestly, they'd rather you not bring it up either. Kentucky's new face of hemp looks remarkably like the old one. A really old one. For much of its history, the Bluegrass ...

Utah Nurse's Abuse by Police Detective Goes Viral; Does the Outrage Actually Mean Anything?

Even other law enforcement agencies are throwing shade. A Utah hospital that became the center of a holiday weekend media blitz has enacted new controls on police access in order to avoid a repeat of a nurse's abuse and arrest. A Salt Lake City police detective's terrible treatment of University of Utah nurse Alex Wubbels was the outrage story of the weekend. In the July incident, Wubbels refused to comply with Det. Jeff Payne's demands for the blood of a man put in a coma when he was struck during a high-speed chase. (The patient in question was an innocent bystander, and he was not suspected of any misconduct.) This past Thursday, Wubbels released body camera footage that ...

The Salt Lake City detective who handcuffed and dragged a Utah nurse who refused to take blood from an unconscious patient has been fired from his part-time paramedic job. Gold Cross Ambulance, an emergency response service, announced Tuesday that Payne has been fired “effective immediately,” Fox 13 Salt Lake City reported. In a statement, Gold Cross said while Payne was not working for the ambulance company during the incident, the company takes “his inappropriate remarks regarding patient transports seriously.” Payne was filmed on July 26 handcuffing University Hospital Nurse Alex Wubbels after she refused to draw blood from an unconscious patient, citing hospital ...

California Supreme Court Rules Against Police Collection of License Plate Data

Privacy and civil liberties advocates won a small victory this week as the California Supreme Court ruled that license plate data secretly gathered from millions of drivers can not be kept secret. On Thursday the California Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California by confirming that law enforcement cannot keep secret about license plate data gathered from millions of unwitting drivers.  The court ruled that license plate data was gathered indiscriminately and not as part of an investigation targeted at a particular crime. Thus the records can not be classified as records related to an ongoing ...

Trump Quietly Nominates Mass Surveillance Advocate To “Protect” Your Privacy Rights

By Carey Wedler Though outrage over mass surveillance swept the United States after Edward Snowden’s revelations in 2013, there is little discussion of these invasive practices just four years later. This apathy comes despite former President Barack Obama’s move to expand to information sharing between agencies just days before Trump took office and after the Trump administration signaled its desire to continue widespread surveillance. Amid this lack of attention toward the NSA, the president recently nominated a staunch advocate of mass surveillance to chair one of the few barriers standing between intrusive government spying and the American ...

New Carlisle News photographer Andy Grimm was shot by a Clark County deputy Monday evening. Andy had left the office around 10:00 p.m. to take pictures of lightning. There was a traffic stop on Main Street near Studebaker’s Restaurant involved, but Andy was not the subject of the stop. He had his camera and tripod in his hands and Deputy Jake Shaw apparently mistook it for a weapon and fired, striking Andy in the side. He was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital for surgery. He is expected to recover from his wounds. "I was going out to take pictures and I saw the traffic stop and I thought, 'hey, cool. I'll get some pictures here.'" He said he pulled into ...

he mosques and madrasas have been used to fire upon people. So why should they be off limits? Snipers in Marawi opened fire on non-Muslims from the roof of a mosque. They will continue operations if the mosques are seen as sacrosanct and immune from attack. Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte told reporters Wednesday that, following the liberation of the Grand Mosque of Marawi, the nation’s military could now bomb mosques, madrassas, and other hiding centers to finally eliminate the Islamic State presence in the city. Marawi is the Philippines’ only official Islamic city, as over 90 percent of the country identifies as Roman Catholic. The Maute Group and Abu Sayyaf, local ...

Why Muslim Leaders SILENT on Gay Marriage: “If we come out with our opinion then the left may abandon us”

They understand the war better than the kuffar. The left has been doing their dirty work for well over a decade now. Why agitate the agitators and knaves doing the heavy lifting in the spread of Islam and sharia? When the time comes, the left will be dealt with in much the same manner as the rest of the unbelievers. NOT THE PRINCIPLE BUT THE SIDE: WHY MUSLIM LEADERS ARE QUIET ON GAY MARRIAGE It’s all tribal, you see. It’s not about principle: Ali Kadri, spokesman for the Islamic Council of Queensland and the Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, said his community was stuck with the choice of offending allies or siding with critics, and the result had been silence. ...

Arrested Utah Nurse Had It Coming [Full Thread]

The near-universal outrage surrounding the arrest of Alex Wubbels, the Salt Lake City nurse who was arrested July 26 for refusing to let police officers draw blood from an unconscious crash victim, empowered Wubbels and her attorney to threaten legal action against the police on CNN’s “New Day” on Monday. At the very least, Wubbels says, she’d like to “re-educate” the police department on proper procedure. Prospective students are advised to steer clear of Wubbels’ courses. Despite reams of inaccurate reporting on the incident, Wubbels was likely legally wrong to obstruct the police officer. The case is a much closer one than it appears. In a widely-seen ...

Enrollment down, dorms closing at Univ. of Missouri; Is this the price of political correctness?

The University of Missouri is home to perhaps the most infamous example of student “safe space” protests, a 2015 incident where a professor was captured on video harassing a student journalist. Now, the school is facing a substantial drop in enrollment, fewer attendees at football games, closing dorms and alumni who don’t want to support Mizzou anymore. Melissa Click, an assistant professor who taught in the school’s communication department, was fired in February 2016 several months after after she was caught on video yelling at a student journalist who was trying to cover a protest. Her cries for “muscle” to help remove the student from the event became a ...

Wubbels got arrested by a Salt Lake City police officer for refusing to withdraw blood from a patient without a search warrant at the end of July. The video of the arrest went viral after Wubbels released it late last week, as John noted on Friday, and Salt Lake City has been dealing with the fallout ever since. Wubbels tells Camerota that she feels “really betrayed,” and not just by the SLCPD either: “I was scared to death… I feel betrayed,” says nurse arrested for refusing to allow a patient’s blood to be drawn ...

Trump reportedly plans to end DACA — and the young immigrants who depend on the program are in 'panic mode'

President Donald Trump is expected to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, a controversial Obama-era policy that shielded immigrants from deportation if they were brought to the US illegally as children. According to at least two media reports published on Sunday, Trump wants to end the program and delay enforcement for six months. The delay would allow Congress to pass legislation mitigating the effect that DACA's demise may have on the nearly 800,000 immigrants who benefit from it. Politico reporter Eliana Johnson cited sources who said the White House and House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan spoke about the decision Sunday morning. Trump was set to ...

WASHINGTON (AP) — Millions of people who buy individual health insurance policies and get no financial help from the Affordable Care Act are bracing for another year of double-digit premium increases, and their frustration is boiling over. Some are expecting premiums for 2018 to rival a mortgage payment. What they pay is tied to the price of coverage on the health insurance markets created by the Obama-era law, but these consumers get no protection from the law's tax credits, which cushion against rising premiums. Instead they pay full freight and bear the brunt of market problems such as high costs and diminished competition. On Capitol Hill, there's a chance that upcoming ...
