Another Reason for the Electric Car Push? Post Date: 2017-09-16 11:46:16 by Deckard

Whenever the government is rabidly enthusiastic about something you can be reasonably sure you shouldnt be.Electric cars are being pushed for all kinds of reasons, none of them beneficial to us. If that werent the case, then it wouldnt be necessary to push (mandate, subsidize) electric cars. They would be embraced as naturally as freely as a better smartphone or more-delicious (and cheaper) hamburger. Of course, it is necessary to push them. The why gets interesting. One of the reasons for the electric car push has to do with their very high cost. Which if electric cars are to become mass-market cars necessarily entails more and higher debt ...
The 28 States Where a Little Pot Can Still Send You to Jail Post Date: 2017-09-16 11:41:20 by Deckard

Today New Hampshire will become the 22nd state to eliminate the possibility of jail for possessing small amounts of marijuana. Under a law passed this year, adults caught with three-quarters of an ounce or less will face a civil fine of $100 for a first offense. Possessing that amount is currently a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of $2,000 and up to a year in jail. Eight of the states that have decriminalized marijuana possession, plus the District of Columbia, have eliminated all penalties for adults 21 older who stay below the legal limit (typically an ounce outside the home). Those eight states (green on the map below) also have legalized production and distribution for ...
When cops commit armed robbery Post Date: 2017-09-16 11:31:41 by Deckard

When a person flashing a gun demands your wallet, empties it of its contents and goes on his way, you call the cops to report a robbery. Who do you call when the cop is the robber?Thats probably a question a California bacon hot dog vendor is asking after a UC Berkeley bicycle officer took his cash and issued him a citation for operating without a permit.A video of the incident made the rounds this week after Berkley alumnus Martin Flores took video of the incident and posted it on social media. In the video, the vendor objects but watches as the officer takes money from the wallet, stuffs into a pocket and then begins to write a citation.According to the LA Times:In a statement ...

Seeing Is Not Believing: Steel and Concrete Became Mid-Air Dust on 9/11 Post Date: 2017-09-16 11:09:57 by Deckard

How do steel and concrete turn into dust before our very eyes? Why don't our brains acknowledge what we are seeing? Because of this: "This is not possible, by definition."Seeing is not believing.Wild theories abound. None gets traction. Here is a wild theory. It is supported by impossible videos. The videos are real, however. Aye, there's the rub!Crashes to crashes, dust to dust. But crashes to dust? That's a problem. There has to be a cogent explanation out there. There just has to be. This one cannot be correct, we are assured. This response reminds me of a familiar scene.

Praying repetitive words using Rosary beads is forbidden [Full Thread] Post Date: 2017-09-16 01:09:18 by A K A Stone

FACT: Catholics pray repetitive words with Rosary Beads that were first invented in 1090 AD, by "Peter the Hermit" and made popular by St. Dominic in 1208 AD. Catholics believe that Mary appeared to St. Dominic in 1208 AD, at the church of Prouille and revealed the Rosary Beads to him. From this time, Catholics prayed 15 sets of 10 consecutive "hail Marys" in a row (150 times), in the Rosary. However, in 2003 AD, Pope John Paul added a new set of Mysteries, so now it is 20 sets of 10 "Hail Marys", (200 times in the Rosary, in total.) Catholics will vainly appeal to Psalm 136 that alternates the same phrase 26 times with 26 different blessings God gives us. It ...
Trump Extends Post-9/11 State of Emergency Post Date: 2017-09-15 21:28:40 by Deckard

Temporary State of Emergency Seems Increasingly Permanent President Trump has become the third president over the course of 16 consecutive years to extend the temporary state of national emergency which was imposed in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks. The state of emergency gives the president considerable leeway to bypass legal limits surrounding the military and the use of the National Guard and reserve troops. Exactly how much this power is used is itself unclear, as presidents have for years ignored a legal requirement to offer reports to Congress every six months on the matter. Officially, Presidents Bush, Obama, and now Trump have defended the ...

Morning and Evening Charles H. Spurgeon September 15, 2017 Morning Reading He shall not be afraid of evil tidings. Psalm 112:7 Christian, you ought not to dread the arrival of evil tidings; because if you are distressed by them, what do you more than other men? Other men have not your God to fly to; they have never proved His faithfulness as you have done, and it is no wonder if they are bowed down with alarm and cowed with fear: but you profess to be of another spirit; you have been begotten again unto a lively hope, and your heart lives in heaven and not on earthly things; now, if you are seen to be distracted as other men, what is the value of that grace which you profess to ...
Shapiro to Antifa: America is laughing at your inferior intellect, you know Post Date: 2017-09-15 14:23:24 by Tooconservative

Get ready for eight minutes of solid gold response from Ben Shapiro to Antifa and the radical Left at UC Berkeley for their attempts to shut him down on the basis of his supposed service to white supremacy and the Donald Trump administration. To believe this, Ben says of these nonsensical accusations, youd have to have your head so far up your ass that you can see your own colon first-hand. The real thugs, Shapiro says in this PG-rated speech, are those claiming to be fighting intellectual thuggery, a premise Shapiro demolishes with glee in his speech (some language NSFW): Thanks to antifa and the supposed anti-fascist brigade for exposing ...
Sweden Releases Sex Guide for Migrants Explaining Why Rape Is Wrong Post Date: 2017-09-15 11:52:26 by IbJensen

Swedish officials have released a new "sex guidebook" aimed at tackling the rising number of sexual assaults committed by newly arrived migrants. "We have seen a great need for young people to get more knowledge and a great need among the adults to get help and support in how to talk about these issues," Youth and Civil Affairs Authority Director General Lena Nyberg explained, according to Metro. The guidebook, which is titled "Youmo in Practice," talks on the subjects of sex education, health, gender issues, women's rights, consent, and explains that it's illegal to rape women. Nyberg added that migrants, which have been arriving to Sweden in ...

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) An investigation into the rough arrest of a Utah nurse who refused to allow a blood draw on an unconscious patient found evidence that police officers violated department policies, the mayor of Salt Lake City said Wednesday. Mayor Jackie Biskupski discussed the findings in an unusual step aimed at repairing public trust after a video surfaced of the nurse being dragged from the hospital in handcuffs on July 26. "The rift this has caused in our city must be healed," the mayor said, citing threats made to 911 dispatchers and to her staff following the arrest. The internal affairs investigation found evidence that Detective Jeff Payne and Lt. James Tracy ...

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Police officers' actions detailed in audio recordings released this week did not surprise Lyonel LaGrone, who grew up in Southeast Grand Rapids. He says the police-call recordings from the November night when a former prosecutor crashed his car only validated his belief that unequal treatment by police exists. During the five recorded conversations, then-police Lt. Matthew Janiskee appears to coach officer Adam Ickes and then-Sgt. Thomas Warwick through the investigation into a wrong-way crash involving former assistant prosecutor Josh Kuiper. "Before I even knew it was called third-party review, even in high school, we said police shouldn't ...

Trump Backpedals on Amnesty Deal After Massive Blowback from Base Post Date: 2017-09-15 09:53:05 by Tooconservative

In a political he-said, she-said, Democrats claimed late Wednesday they reached a deal with President Donald Trump to pass permanent legal status for so-called dreamers in return for some border security measures but no wall. Caught off-balance by intense blowback from his own base, Trump insisted there was no such bargain. No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote, Trump tweeted Thursday morning. DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the Obama-era program that unconstitutionally allowed 690,000 illegal aliens to remain here temporarily ...
Rand Worries Trump Has Caught ‘Potomac Fever’ in Pursuit of DACA Deal Post Date: 2017-09-15 09:47:47 by Tooconservative

Any deal to grant amnesty to illegal immigrants brought to America as children should include a requirement that the beneficiaries count against annual legal immigration caps, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Thursday. Paul, speaking on The Laura Ingraham Show, reacted to reports that President Donald Trump and the top Democrats in the Senate and House of Representatives had agreed on the principles of an amnesty for people who enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. If you want to internally immigrate people who are here illegally, they should count against the totals of people who come in each year, he said. So if we immigrate a ...

"Having cut a deal with Democrats for help with the debt ceiling, will Trump seek a deal with Democrats on amnesty for the 'Dreamers' in return for funding for border security?" The answer to that question, raised in my column a week ago, is in. Last night, President Donald Trump cut a deal with "Chuck and Nancy" for amnesty for 800,000 recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program who came here illegally as youngsters, in return for Democratic votes for more money for border security. According to preening Minority Leader Pelosi, the agreement contains not a dime for Trump's Wall, and the "Dreamers" are to be put on a long ...
"WHO AM I TO JUDGE A GAY PERSON?" says Pope Francis Post Date: 2017-09-15 08:37:38 by A K A Stone

While his statement is correct and in line with the teachings of Our Lord, it lacks the second part: the diabolically planned omitted truth that crowned him as the "Gay Pope", the "Cool Pope", the "Human Rights Pope". Here is the result of the infallible marketing strategy behind such statement: But what is wrong with such loving and tolerant declaration? First, he was asked by a reporter about the status of homosexual priests. Bergoglio's answer was given as a personal one by saying "who am I to judge?". Why did he make it personal? Is he not supposed to answer what the Catholic Church teaches based on the Word of God? Wouldn't he rather say ...

The other day, Andrew Torba was scheduled to appear on the Tucker Carlson show so I figured out how to find it off the underground TV system. I no longer have a TV subscription, so I have to rely on the dark web for this stuff. Cord cutters can say what they like about services like Kodi, but it is a hassle compared to regular cable. So much so, in fact, that I rarely watch television. Instead I download movies and TV shows and binge watch when the spirit moves me. I watched Deadwood last month, for example. Anyway, I found a stream and tuned in to the show. I did not know when Torbas segment was scheduled so I had to sit through the whole thing. Watching Tucker interview some old ...
Janet Reno, American Saint Post Date: 2017-09-15 07:47:08 by Deckard

When former Attorney General Janet Reno died last November, the media heaped praise on her as if she had been justice incarnate. Reno had long enjoyed sainthood inside the Beltway; the Womens Bar Association of the District of Columbia even created a Janet Reno Torchbearer Award. But Renos record of deceit, brutality, and power grabs should not be forgotten by any American who cares about freedom. Shortly after Reno became attorney general in 1993, she approved the FBI final assault on the Branch Davidians holed up in a rickety building outside of Waco, Texas. She went on Nightline the evening after 80 people died in a conflagration and announced, I made the decision. ...

So what does the GOP establishment do in 2018 when it comes before us dirty, nasty normals and tries to make the case that its members deserve being reelected to Congress instead of being tarred and feathered? After seven years of solemn assurances, it couldnt even get its act together and keep its promise to put a stake through the heart of the abomination that is Obamacare. But hey when Donald Trump kept his promise to undo DACA, that sure spurred the True Conservatives to action. The deductibles my employees pay just went up two grand a year because if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor or something, yet that sort of real world pain for real world people ...

AIR raid sirens blared across Japan again today. Another North Korean missile streaked over the island nations skies. As startled citizens streamed into bunkers and shelters, Japans government went to great lengths to inform and reassure the public that it was doing everything possible to protect them. Truth is, there is very little the Japanese military can do. The launch was detected at 6.59am Japanese Standard Time. At 7.06am, the ballistic missile overflew the heavily populated island of Hokkaido. It was in Japanese air space for less than two minutes before it fell into the ocean some 2000km to the east at 7.16am. Early reports indicate it was in the air for a total of ...

Thursday Night Football was down 13 percent, and Sunday games on Fox and CBS also declined. Sunday Night Football on Comcast Corp.s NBC, featuring the arch-rival New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys, was a rare bright spot. A drop in ...
