5G, IoT, A.I. Surveillance and Smart Cities = Enslaved Citizens
Post Date: 2019-03-10 00:35:09 by Deckard

People who have a modern smartphone normally think of 5G as nothing more than a progression from 3G and 4G. Offering fewer dropped calls, faster data transfer, and more convenience. 5G is the fifth generation of wireless technology. This thinking barely scratches the surface. There must be a greater reason why CEOs of major cellular carriers are breaking their necks to railroad the fastest implementation in history of a new communication standard. This reason has little to do with your personal cellphone and everything to do with the so-called Internet of Things (IoT) where all electronic devices will be connected together in real-time. Collectively, the IoT is the core technology used to ...

Rainbow Farm: The domestic siege that time forgot

In 2001, two men were killed by the FBI at a farm in Michigan. Then, 9/11 happened. In September of 2001, the buildings burned, filling the bright blue sky with black smoke that could be seen for miles. Locals remember exactly where they were when it happened. When the ash settled, many were left in shock. To some, the razed site had been a symbol of freedom, liberty, and enterprise. To others, it had been a manifestation of vice, turpitude, and lawlessness. Either way, it seemed obvious that such an event would be covered and discussed from coast to coast. As a country, we’d eventually begin to truly examine the costs of an overly broad and ill-defined war. Then, about a week later, ...

Florida Bill Would Make It a Crime for Minors to Post Pictures of Guns on Social Media

Introduced a few weeks by Florida state senator Jason Pizzo: (1) A minor who posts or publishes a picture of a firearm, a BB gun, an air or a gas-operated gun, or a device displayed to resemble a firearm to a social media page, post, profile, or account that is openly viewable to the public commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable [by up to a year in jail or a fine of up to $1000]. (2)(a) Any parent or guardian of a minor, or other adult responsible for the welfare of a minor, if the minor possesses a firearm in violation of this section, may, if the court finds it appropriate, be required to participate in classes on parent education which are approved by the Department of ...

Lindsey Graham: Democrats, GOP Can ‘Come Together’ for Gun Confiscation Law
Post Date: 2019-03-09 22:39:57 by Deckard

Breitbart – by AWR Hawkins Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-SC) says firearm confiscation laws portend a way that Democrats and Republicans can “come together.” CNN reported that Graham has long supported red flag laws, which allow a court to issue firearm confiscation orders for individuals deemed a threat to themselves or others.   House Democrats have already passed legislation during this Congress to criminalize private gun sales and extend the instant background check for firearm purchases. They are now pressing for $50 million in annual funding to bring academia into the gun control push. The Democrats have also been ...

Pentagon Spent $4.6 Million on Lobster Tail and Crab in One Month
Post Date: 2019-03-09 22:35:36 by Deckard

The federal government spends a disproportionate amount of its budget for outside contractors in the final month of the fiscal year, as agencies rush to blow through cash before it's too late. Among the more noteworthy expenditures in 2018, according to the watchdog group Open the Books, was $4.6 million for lobster tail and crab. Such use-it-or-lose-it spending stems from the fact that each federal agency is given a certain amount of money it can spend on outside contractors for the fiscal year. If the agency comes in under budget, Congress might decide to appropriate less money the following year. Or as The Office's Oscar Martinez explains to Michael Scott in "The ...

Killeen, TX — Disturbing video of a murder in Killeen, Texas was published in 2017 by the Free Thought Project of a man being murdered in broad daylight. The Free Thought Project reported on this video to help seek justice for Curtis E. Shelley after police refused to arrest his killer. Now, after a year of inaction, we learned that the killer—who is the son of a Killeen police officer—will have no charges filed against him. The Bell County Grand Jury met Wednesday and no charges were returned in the killing of Shelley. Naturally, the Shelley family was devastated and were quick to claim that the suspect got away with murder because he’s the son of a cop. As KCEN ...

Sleeping (in your car) is Now a Crime

It’s become one of those self-evident truths Massa Tom once wrote about to state that government has become overtly punitive – as opposed to keeping the peace, its sole legitimate function. There are many examples. Here is the latest. Virginia’s Roanoke County has hurled a fatwa (news story here) making it a crime to sleep in your own car – even if that car is parked on your own property. Which nicely delineates the true ownership of “your” property. “Violators” are subject to arrest – and a $250 fine. Also a possible Hut! Hut! Hutting! – since the fatwa endows armed government workers with the legal power to come onto private property, rap ...

Body Cams ‘Go Dark’ As Cops Start Beating Up Family, But Dashcam Shows the Truth

DeSoto, TX — The incremental use of police officer body cameras over the last decade has proven to be both a huge asset to police accountability as well as a source of constant controversy. Many times, police departments will simply refuse to release potentially incriminating video, while other times, officers turn them off before committing a crime. As the following case illustrates, despite being required to film all their interactions, many cops will do the exact opposite when they are about to inflict violence on compliant individuals.   Last August, Sammie Anderson made the mistake of contacting the police to help break up an argument between her two ...

Boliver, MO — In December of last year, medical marijuana was officially legalized in Missouri—sort of. The legislation, titled Amendment 2, would establish 192 medical marijuana dispensaries by 2020. Those who need that medical marijuana now—like cancer patients, epileptics, glaucoma patients, those suffering from PTSD, and others—will still be prosecuted by police if they try to get it. As the following incident shows, police will even raid cancer patients in the hospital for using it.   Nolan’s Tribe of Warriors Against Cancer is a Facebook page setup to follow the life of Nolan, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer last year. ...

“Bill Shine has done an outstanding job working for me and the administration,” President Donald Trump said in a statement. “We will miss him in the White House, but look forward to working together on the 2020 presidential campaign, where he will be totally involved.” | Susan Walsh/AP Photo Bill Shine is the fifth person to learn that it’s not easy to serve as communications director to a president who doesn’t think he needs one. Trump on Friday accepted the resignation of Shine, a former Fox News executive who had spent just nine months on the job, severing his most visible link to the conservative network — but likely not changing his relationship ...

House votes in favor of illegal immigrant voting

House Democrats voted Friday to defend localities that allow illegal immigrants to vote in their elections, turning back a GOP attempt to discourage the practice. The vote marks a stunning reversal from just six months ago, when the chamber — then under GOP control — voted to decry illegal immigrant voting. “We are prepared to open up the political process and let all of the people come in,” Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat and hero of the civil rights movement, told colleagues as he led opposition to the GOP measure. The 228-197 vote came as part of a broader debate on Democrats’ major legislative priority this year, HR 1, the “For the People Act,” ...

New York, NY — It has been over a year since then 18-year-old Anna Chambers accused two on-duty NYPD officers of raping her in the back of a police van on the night of September 15th, 2017. As emphatically as she claims she was raped and did not consent to having sex with two police officers, she asserts not only have the police continued to attempt to intimidate her but the very justice system she looked to for help was set up to help the alleged rapists. Now, her claims have been proven correct. Both of the officers, Eddie Martins and Richard Hall had faced up to 25 years in prison on the original rape and kidnapping charges, But this week, they had all those charges dropped. ...

Houston, TX — As TFTP reported last month, Houston-area prosecutors announced they will examine 1,400 cases which are linked to the cop who fabricated evidence to spark the raid on an innocent couple—in which they were murdered in their own home by police. Now, this week, nearly 1,000 more cases will be reviewed that are tied to another officer who was also relieved of duty, Houston police officer Steven Bryant. Last month, the FBI announced that they will be investigating the officers involved in the raid on Dennis and Rhogena Tuttle who were massacred in their own home. Houston District Attorney Kim Ogg previously announced that the 1,400 cases tied to Officer Gerald ...

Flashback: Google’s true origin partly lies in CIA and NSA research grants for mass surveillance

Quartz – by Jeff Nesbit, December 8, 2017Two decades ago, the US intelligence community worked closely with Silicon Valley in an effort to track citizens in cyberspace. And Google is at the heart of that origin story. Some of the research that led to Google’s ambitious creation was funded and coordinated by a research group established by the intelligence community to find ways to track individuals and groups online.  The intelligence community hoped that the nation’s leading computer scientists could take non-classified information and user data, combine it with what would become known as the internet, and begin to create for-profit, commercial enterprises to suit ...

Gun Background Checks: How the State Came To Decide Who Can and Cannot Buy a Firearm
Post Date: 2019-03-08 05:21:28 by Deckard

Ammo.com Prior to 1968, most adults in the United States could purchase a firearm without state interference. Guns were available in local retail stores, as well as mail-order catalogs, and as long as you hadn’t been convicted of a felony and you had the funds, there weren’t any questions asked. Things are different now. Depending on where in America you are and what type of gun you want to buy, there’s a good chance you’ll need to pass a NICS-mandated background check to complete your purchase.   Although many people hold a strong opinion for and against gun background checks, they’ve proven to be an integral part of the ...

Americans' Least Favorite Company Isn't Even a Company. Can You Guess What It Is?

According to a new Axios Harris Poll, Americans' least favorite company is the U.S. government. The fact that the U.S. government even made it onto the list is surprising in itself, considering the fact that it's not actually a company. A sample of 6,188 Americans were asked to name the company they believed to have the best reputation and the one with the worst. Then, Axios and Harris took the top 100 "most visible" companies and asked a separate group of 18,228 people to rate them based on a variety of factors. Last year the U.S. government didn't make the "most visible" list. This year it did, and the results speak for themselves. Political party ...

Prosecutors in a case brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team asked a federal judge on Thursday to withhold 3.2 million "sensitive" documents from the Russian company Concord Management LLC because of national security and law enforcement concerns. During a court hearing in Washington, government prosecutors told U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich there are about 3.2 million documents that no employee or officer of Concord Management LLC should be allowed to view outside of the United States as part of the discovery process. Tuesday's hearing was chiefly an argument over how to handle millions of documents the government considers "sensitive" to ...

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.” — David Rockefeller, Baden-Baden, Germany 1991Sun Tzu once said “All War ...
